No, HOF'ers don't have to pay their dues to be in the HOF but if
they don't pay their dues, they are no longer members of the
NBRC so they don't get the bulletins either.

Hey Donnie,
I hope all is well with you. Anyhow, you must have misread what
I said. I'm not sure what you're alluding to about what I said
"not being true".
Your friend who is a HOF'er still gets his bulletins BECAUSE HE
PAYS HIS YEARLY MEMBERSHIP DUES. The day he stops paying his
yearly membership dues, he will no longer get the bulletins.

Here's what I'm saying and I'll use Joe Schmoe as an example:
- Joe Schmoe is inducted in the NBRC HOF
- Joe Schmoe is old now and can no longer keep pigeons and needs
money to use for other things
- Because Joe Schmoe no longer pays for his yearly NBRC dues, he
is no longer an NBRC member so he does not get the bulletin
anymore either.
As my original post says, since Joe Schmoe is a HOF member,
shouldn't he be a lifetime NBRC member as well? My opinion is
that once you get in the HOF, you should automatically be a
lifetime NBRC member meaning you no longer have to pay dues.
Like WannaRoll aka Dave Almon posted below, NBRC HOF'ers should
be honorary members FOR LIFE. I think they deserve that much.
Hope that cleared it up. Take care Donnie

I AGREE anyone that is the HOF should be Honorary Member for
life--- NO MORE DUES they have paid there dues by makeing HOF
I'm sure they have allready paid dues for many many years in the
past. This is something that NBRC Board should do now!!!!!!!!!
GOD Bless!!!!

Yes Johnnie, I think all the guys who made it into the HOF have
already paid enough DUES. Funny if you think about it, to put
someone in the HOF but then not give them the bulletins or
rights as a member of the club. Most of these guys have served
in the NBRC offices, put in time as judges, hosted local and
national club flies, and helped the growth of the hobby.
I made a big push for this last year, it did not go anywhere. I
am thinking about doing it again this year. I will probably
draft a proposal up and send it to the EC.

hay list,
myself i think the nbrc should give tests to the hof'ers to get
in as well all they doing though the years i talked to a few
hof'ers in the past and i was asking basic question about the
birds and they said they really know about the subject and i was
disappointed in them i feel getting a award like the nbrc hof
they should know all about the birds i'm saying i don't know
every thing in the hobbie and not to be bragging about myself i
got 3 lifetime achievement awards by 3 different club how i
understand it they gave me the award on what did and what what i
know and i got 5 participation awards as welland i wrote about
12 articles though the years like i said i not trying to make
any body look bad if nbrc should change the way of what their
doing the hof and make a test and what they did though the years
and once the make it they should still pay their dues and set an
example for the new members i hope this don't make any body mad
