CREAMS IN BARS AND CHECKS
By: POLARBEAR Date: January 29, 2011, 9:17 pm

HI FOLKS ;)
I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH AND FLYING SOME CREAMS IN BARS AND
CHECKS FOR MY OWN ENJOYMENT AND PLEASURE.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THERE CREAM BARS OR CHECKS THAT
THEY COULD POST?
IT SEEMS LIKE MY BIRDS RAISE 4 TIMES AS MANY HENS AS COCKS, ITS
NICE TO HAVE EXTRA HENS BUT IT IS HARD TO GET VERY MANY COCKS.
ANY HOW ARE THERE ANY OTHER COLORS THAT I COULD USE TO CLEAN UP
THE BLUING OR SMUTTY GREY IN THERE RUMP AND NECKS?
THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION ;D

Work some ash red's in that don't show any ink dots [blue dots]
Study the dilute gene in pigeons and it will help you
understand. ;)

Cream bar is the diluted version of the ash-red
and it is sometimes called ash-yellow. Dilute is a sex-linked
recessive mutation and therefore it requires only ONE copy of
the gene to make a hen a cream bar, where it requires TWO copies
inherited from both parents to make a cock bird to show dilute.
You are getting more diluted hens because it only requires a
cock that is dilute (homozygous) or carries dilute
(heterozygous) to donate the dilute gene to the hen offspring.
Hope that answers your question. You can also visit my website
to read more about dilute and reduced @
