       Why Ruby Rollers

Ok i just really getting back into birds and am going full speed
ahead with rollers. I have about 6 pair right now all down from
my stepfather who has kept same ones for the last 25 years. I
loved the birds when I was a kid but he has never flown a single
competition in his life either. So while I want to see what his
birds can do I also want to put my own stamp on my birds. So I
want to bring in a pair or two of my own birds. So I am
considering ruby rollers price seems be fair and has good
reviews. I was wondering what everyone out there thinks about
       there ruby rollers?

I really like the Ruby's I got from Tony!! I bought 10 birds
and flew them for a year and put the best male with the best
female and so on. I got two fantastic pairs out of the ten
birds. Both those pairs are putting out 50% great birds. The
other three pairs are putting out 30% great birds. I only keep
the best and the rest get culled. They are slower to develop
deeper rolling compared to my other strain but, they are a lot
more stable in the development. Meaning my other strain are
rolling deep in four months and I have a lot more problems with
them because of that. Roll downs, scared to fly, cant deal with
rolling so deep at a young age and more. Most of my other strain
do eventually turn into good rollers with patience and some
work. My Ruby's develop a deeper roll in six months or so and
because of that I have no problems with them when they start
rolling deeper. Because of a little slower development they are
ready for deeper rolling when it happens. A lot more stable in
their development. I flew a Ruby kit in the world cup fly this
year and almost won my region in my first competition. I would
absolutely buy more Ruby's if i ever need more. I have done very
well breeding my Ruby's. I must say you could buy the best
birds in the world and destroy them with bad loft management,
over feeding and many more things. I did a lot of research and
experimentation to get my loft management skills were their at
today. By no means did it happen over night. With good loft
management, good decision making and a steady routine your Ruby
purchase will reward you tremendously. Good luck with your
rollers what ever you decide to do.

I think I have learned good loft keeping skills from my step
father over the years. Seen a of postive things about ruby's.
Plus I did good when racing just getting rid of rest of racers
cause of the cost and going with rollers cause thats what I grew
up around and know the best. The competition side of things
might be little different but be great to learn and get better
       witht he birds.

I was not talking about loft keeping and was not trying to
offend anyone. Just give some advice. Anyone can throw some
rollers in a box and fly them. Maybe they will roll maybe they
wont. If they are trained and manage properly they will roll
there buts off, kit well and work as a team. If you manage your
breeding properly you will have birds that roll right, have
frequency, kit well , will be a team player, depth and what
every else you like in your birds. You can buy Ruby's but they
will only be as good as you make them. You can train them right
and have great birds. You can also ruin a great bird if not
manage the right way for that strain. I love my Ruby's and they
work hard for me. They are every thing that i expected.
