Hi folks, I'm back- not that anyone noticed I was missing- but
I was. My wife has some recurring health issues we've been
dealing with for years- so my time (and money) have been taken
up with that- which is what us husbands should be doing after
all. Lost my job after 17 years, at a time when Northeastern PA
had one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, BUT-
my wife's health has stabilized and I'm working again (commute
went from 70 miles to 9 miles one way). In between the mortgage
stayed up to date, the medical bills continued to get paid in
part each month, the boy and I fished with worms from the
garden not store bought minnows, and the Conways remained
happy, and relatively healthy (at present) and I really, really
need to spend some time looking up in the sky and smiling, as
another support to maintainance of my sanity. I had some
rollers from a fella down the line that were ok- but it was
tough finding several I would breed and continue flying. I did
find a guy who wanted birds from that fella's line and that's
where they went. In the mean time I gave that half of the barn
I'd made loft to the chickens. Soooo I'm building a stand alone
loft at present and will be ordering birds from Tony upon
completion or darn near completion. My 10 year old is excited
to say the least. Just reread the post and to be sure folks-
I'm not looking for birds to be given to me or anything like
that- just bring folks up to date with what's been going on- we
all have our own struggles and crosses to bear and God has been
pretty good to me and my family through it all and we've landed
solidly on our feet. Some nice folks on this site for sure from
Tony on down. Look forward to once again learning (and
relearning) from all of you and throwing my two cents in
judiciously here and there. respectfully, Paul Conway.

Hi Paul I am glad your wife is doing better and also that you
found some work. Nine mile drive sounds better then seventy to
me. Your making a good choice by getting some Ruby's from Tony.
I Am doing well with the ones i got from him. I took third place
in my region for the world cup fly this year and currently have
the sixth best score out of a hundred and twenty flyers so far.
You and your Ten year old will have a blast with the Ruby's. I
wish you the best for you and your family! Keep us updated on
your progress!
