;D I just spoke with Tony and I was telling him how much I
enjoy this list. I enjoy the way the members show each other a
level of respect. There are always differing opinions, but you
guys control the personal diatribes and try to exchange ideas
instead of exchanging insults. Let me introduce myself. my name
is Earl Allan. I started a Roller pigeon discussion forum in
1998 called Earls Roller Pigeon List. It was a great forum. It
tended to get a little too heated at times and I lost friends
that I've never even met. LOL. It was difficult to moderate at
times. I left the list and the hobby in 2001 when my wife passed
away suddenly. Leaving me with four young children to raise. I
now observe the list from a distance. It's run by my good friend
Mr. J. Petersen. (Thanks A miilion Mr. Petersen!). I hope this
list is always a place where ideas are exchanged peacefully. You
have no idea how valuable a forum like this is for newcomers and
veterans alike!!!

Earl,
I enjoy Earl's list most of the time. The same guys who
habitually stir up garbage on Earl's used to do the same here
but most of them got run off because they got a little too
fervent in their rants. This list is calm now compared to 2-3
yrs ago.

As Joe said, this list used to be just as bad, if not worse,
Earl's can be at times but since about 2010, it has calmed down
alot. Earls has calmed down alot too with the occasional heated
debates over the same old issues, color and what not.
With that said, the number of people who participate on this
forum has gone down so much over the past two years, it's a bit
crazy. This forum used to be moving, pages a day but it has
slowed considerably.

Lew, it is by sponsorship/invite only. It used to be HUGE and
all the top rollermen used to be on it. Now, it is still quite
large but you only get about 50 emails a day vs 1000 it used to
be back in the day.
