       Found bird in Kailua hawaii
       CPRC 2011 1247
Bird is very thin. We've given it food and water, and it seems
       to be doing fine.
Please call Lea 808-258-3580 if this is your bird.

Please contact Walt Rosehill in Kailua. I shipped him some birds
a few years ago but can't find his phone number.

Thank you for the contact birdman, you're awesome!
Oneawa street intersects with my street, and his house is about
a block away from my house. I'll give him a call in the
morning--and will be sure to tell him you said hello.
If it's his bird, I'll be so happy to know it can go home.
       Thanks again.

       BIRD RETURNED TO OWNER!!!
       By: kailua-found Date: October 9, 2012, 2:18 pm

       Hey Russ,
It was Walt's bird and I dropped it off this morning. Walt said
to tell you hello and thank you for pointing me in the right
direction. Turns out the bird has been MIA for nearly a year.
He was glad to have it back, and other than being a bit thin,
she looked to be in good shape.
Thanks again for helping me to find the owner.
       Lea

       Hi Lea,
Thank you for getting the bird back to Walt! I'm pretty sure
that you put a big smile on his face!!
Next time you are in your yard and see a flock of pigeons
overhead, watch them for a few minutes and you just might see
them do something that you will never forget ;D
       Thanks again for your help,
       Russ

       Hi Russ,
Walt was definitely surprised and pleased to see the bird
returned, after all it had been missing for quite some time.
It's partner is still missing, so I'm keeping an eye out for it.
Since I have chickens, macaws, cockatoos, and a bunch of other
smaller parrots--- the pigeons (usually wild ones) and lost pet
birds always seem to find their way to my house. I guess they
hear the calls from my birds, and figure we're bird friendly.
I was thinking about asking Walt to let me know when he flies
his birds so I can watch from my balcony. My daughter and I
watched a youtube video about roller pigeons when we googled the
band number for the bird, and figured out it was from a
california roller pigeon club. We had no idea that pigeons
could do such amazing aerial acrobatics. It's amazing,
fascinating and kind of peculiar all at the same time.
       Lea
