After a short lockdown???

I don't completely understand why this is happening. After a
short period of not flying when I release them they will fly for
an hr or so but with little action. I feed 10 birds 1/3 c of my
regular mix 1/3 c of milo and 2 tbl of wheat. My young Ruby's
are all around 5 mo. old. Should I just keep flying them and
not worry ?? Or should I be concerned?? What's your take..

Paul how were they performing before the lock down? I personally
don't "tweak" the feed with my young Rubys until they are well
into kitting and rolling, between 10-12months. I feed mine a 16%
mix, about 2tb spoons or more each! You must remember that
these are young birds that are still developing, and will go
through different stages as they develop! As long as they are
kitting properly and fly for at least 45mins minimum at this
stage. Those that have the goods will bear fruit! Throw away
your measuring cup, keep flying them and don't worry. :D When
they have fully developed you will know which ones to keep and
which to put to sleep LOL! jmo

Raul.... before the lock down, they were flying for about a hour
or so, some doing short flips and others just flying around with
them and they are kitting vry well together.. I'll go back to
feeding straight feed mix. and just keep flying them. Thanks....

Hi Paul ---- hope all is well had to lockdown my birds just to
many hawks ( migration) & issues with feed because of cold
weather. Couldn't quite regulate it & they would fly for
90-120mins not to my liking most of it was flying not rolling .
I added dent corn to there mix it changed things too much. Time
to start deer hunting anyway so gives me more time & them a
rest. Start again in the spring .
