David was just about to answer that he had no idea, when
suddenly, he heard a growl. He spotted Alikae and jumped back,
hitting his head on the cave ceiling. "Oww...!" He muttered,
rubbing his head. "When the bloody hell did that get here?!"

"'That'?" Cerys asked, raising an eyebrow. "She has a name...
this is Alikae, and she's... a friend of mine..." she said,
trailing off at the end. She didn't know how she would explain
Alikae being her Spirit... Oh, hi! Yeah, this is my giant tiger,
Alikae. By the way, we're bonded in ways you can't possibly
imagine. I might even have some of her abilities. It goes so far
that I'll die if she does. Just thought you should know! Yeah,
right.
Sora spread his wing protectively in front of Cerys and David,
as if by shielding them from view he could shield them from
harm. He didn't know what was happening any more than Alikae
did, but he knew he had to protect Cerys.

David looked from Cerys to Alikae, and then back at Cerys. "Oh,"
He said, accepting her answer. "When did she... get here?"

"I..." Cerys frowned. "That's a good question, actually. She
must've met us outside of that... place. Either that or she was
in there for whatever reason..." She shrugged. "I was too
worried about you to pay much attention," she admitted
sheepishly.
Both Alikae and Sora growled again at the same time, and Cerys
returned her attention to them. "What's happening...?" she
wondered aloud.

"Oh," David said again. He was a little confused, but ignored
his confusion; Sora and Alikae growled. Now David was starting
to realize the danger he'd put the four of them in. If anyone
from the Towers found them, they were screwed.

Alex walked off the boat briskly, onto the shores of Wonderland.
Feeling a twinge on his right wrist, he unwrapped it and saw a
strange unfamiliar green mark. Discarding any thought of it, he
re-wrapped his wrist and turned to Soraxos.
"Find it...go," he whispered, shrugging his shoulder which
Soraxos was perched on.
Screeching happily, Soraxos took off and started to fly inland.
Hours later, Soraxos returned to the boat, hooting in a quick
succession.
Smiling slightly, Alex walked back on to the beach and received
the green mark again, of which he took no notice. Holding out
his arm, he let Soraxos land on it.
Pulling out a small treat for the great sooty owl, he stroked
it's head lightly as it hooted.
It would of been incoherent to anyone else, but Alex felt like
he understood the owl, as if they shared some sort of mental
link.
Soraxos told Alex of seeing the creature which they were
hunting, the griffin. It was travelling through the forest with
a tiger of some sorts, the griffin's girl, and a strange man.
"Show me..." Alex whispered.
Soraxos took off, but this time flew in a straight line into the
forest. Alex took a deep breath, grabbed his sword to secure it,
and ran after the bird, jumping into the trees.
It wasn't long running before Alex crouched on the branch
Soraxos had landed on, looking at a cave entrance some small
distance away from them.
Sure enough, he could see the griffin inside the mouth of the
cave, and a tiger. The tiger was looking in his direction, but
Alex knew he had been stealthy so even the tiger must not be
sure. He saw no sign of the two humans, but the griffins wings
were spread wide, so they might of been hiding.
Alex smiled.
"Good hunting Soraxos, now their time is up..." Alex whispered,
stroking the bird and watching the cave's mouth.

Alikae growled a third time, even louder. This time the growl
was not a warning--it was a challenge to the movement she had
seen in the trees. Sora took another step back, forcing Cerys to
step back and draw level with David. Alikae was obviously
worried about whatever was out there...
Cerys slipped her hands into her pockets and then wordlessly
pulled them out again, now wearing her gloves. She clenched her
hands into fists and crouched slightly, ready to fight if she
needed to.
Alikae growled still louder and this time took a step forward.
Suddenly the wind shifted, and she could smell the scents--one
human and one owl. She turned her head sharply to glare in their
direction, moving to stand between them and the cave.

Alex tensed.
The wind had shifted. Now his scent was blowing towards the
cave, undoubtedly detectable.
Alex frowned for a second, then smiled.
"I like the maim game..." Alex said sadistically, crooning at
the owl. "Go on Soraxos, give them something to stare at."
Soraxos hooted very loudly, and took off from the branch, making
himself plainly seen. Flying in a small circle, he flew at a
right angle from the cave's mouth away from Alex.
Alex, quietly and swiftly, dropped from the branch onto the
forest floor.
Still quiet and swift, he lightly ran towards the mouth of the
cave, making no noise whatsoever.
Hiding expertly behind a tree, he looked at the mouth of the
cave from the edge of the dense forest.
The tiger had moved between him and cave entrance, though how
long ago he could not tell.
From a short distance away, he heard Soraxos hoot loudly and
distractedly.
Softly, he whispered the Tune of the Moon, which was a short,
sorrowful tune created to tell the story of how the moon came to
be.
He hoped the beast would hear it.

Alikae looked up at the owl for a moment before deciding not to
bother with it and looking back at the tree.
The human was gone.
Growling, she cursed herself mentally and looked around, her
tail lashing. Suddenly, she heard something... familiar. Someone
was singing the Tune of the Moon...
For a second, she simply stood there, dazed. Then she growled
and shook her head, taking a few slow steps back so that she was
inside the cave again.
Meanwhile, Cerys had had enough of not knowing what was going
on. She ducked under Sora's wing and quickly ran around to his
left side, much to his annoyance. When he glared at her, she
just winked. He put his right wing down, grumbling under his
breath. He knew he couldn't stop her if she wanted to fight.
"Who's there?" Cerys called commandingly. "Show yourself!"
((She's just asking for trouble ._.))

The tiger at the mouth of the cave growled, slowly stepping
backwards.
Alex stopped whistling. He could now see into the cave, and he
saw the griffin, glorious as it was.
Smiling, he tensed, about to move, when a small girl appeared to
the left side of the griffin.
"Who's there?" she called commandingly. "Show yourself!"
Alex smiled.
Whispering his voice, he made it hoarse and float along the
wind. "Why would the Black Ghost in the Moonlight show himself
during the day, hmm?"
Alex chuckled, letting it float along the wind as well.
