Cerys cried out in pain when the man jabbed her with the
instrument. It was electric... However, she looked at David,
then glared up at the man again. "Even if I knew, I wouldn't
tell you," she said quietly.
The man hit her with the rod again, but this time, nothing
happened. They both looked back at David. His whole body seemed
to be charged with electricity. Both of their bonds were
released, and Cerys stood up, looking at David. "David...?"
Several more guards entered the room, but he knocked them back
with a bolt of electricity. "David...!" she exclaimed, looking
between him and the men. Neither of them noticed as one of the
guards began to sneak up behind her...
"Don't move or she dies!"
Cerys gasped as someone pulled her hair sharply, causing her to
stumble backwards and raise her chin. That same someone pressed
a cold dagger to her throat. Cerys looked up at David, trying
not to move. "David... go...!" she hissed, acutely aware of the
metal on her skin. She closed her eyes, waiting to feel the
dagger slicing her flesh. It seemed inevitable... If David left,
she would die. If he didn't leave, they would both be tortured
for information and they'd die anyway. There was nothing to do
but hope he survived.

David just stood there for a moment, glancing at the girl and
the man holding her out of the corner of his eye. He knew he
knew her... but yet, he didn't know her. His head was swimming.
Then it hit him--kind of...
"Alice..." David growled dangerously, walking towards the man
and the girl, "Let go of [b]my Alice!!" He pointed his arm again
and a bolt of lightning struck the man in the arm, causing the
dagger to fly into the air. He then realized something: this
girl wasn't Alice, not his Alice, just some girl. David held his
head and screamed out of rage, frustration, and confusion.
"[b]ALICE!!" He screamed as he started bolting out the door,
"[b]ALIIIIIIIICE!!"

"David...?!" Cerys exclaimed when he started screaming something
about 'Alice'. When he ran from the room, she didn't hesitate to
follow him. Somehow--she wasn't quite paying attention, so she
didn't know how--Alikae and Sora ended up on either side of her,
attacking any guards that got in their way. Cerys just kept
running, faster and faster. Faster than she should've been able
to go. She didn't have time to think about why.
In a matter of seconds she caught up with David. She slowed her
pace slightly to match his so that she ran to his left, with
Alikae on her left and Sora on David's right. She didn't say
anything, she simply ran, hoping they would make it out before
someone managed to stop them.

David ran--just ran. He wanted, no, needed to find her, fast!
They took her... he couldn't even remember where, but they took
her. He ran right up to another door, kicked it down, ran
inside, and screamed her name again, but she wasn't there. David
roared in anger again, ran into another room, and screamed once
more. He must've done this four or five times before he noticed
the girl from before, a tiger, and a griffin following him.
Suddenly, his mad little mind hatched an idea.
Abruptly, David spun around and grabbed the girl by the
shoulders. He shook her hard as the dark marks around his eyes
burned harder and became more terrifying. He glared down at the
girl and growled. "Where. Is. She?!" He exclaimed, getting right
into the girl's face. Seeing the confusion, David yelled the
question again, louder this time.
"Don't move!!" An unfamiliar voice shouted from down the hall.
David let go of the girl and roared, running right at the guard
aiming a gun right at him.
"I know you have her!!" He screamed, his voice cracking. Bullets
soared by him, but he ignored them; one managed to graze his
cheek and another just grazed his jacket. David bolted up to the
man with the gun and slammed his right fist into his face,
knocking him out immediately. David quickly walked past the man
and kicked the door behind him open. Bright sunlight entered the
room and David growled before taking off outside.

Cerys flinched when David grabbed her shoulders. He had dark
marks around his eyes, which she had never seen before. "David,
what are you talking about...?" she asked, then someone from
behind them shouted, "Don't move!"
David ran at them, and Cerys watched, horrified. "David, what
are you doing?!" she shouted. Surprisingly, he wasn't harmed,
and he knocked the guard out, then ran out the door. Alikae and
Sora covered her as she sprinted at top speed outside, catching
up to David again. She grabbed his arm, trying to stop him.
"David, what's wrong with you?" she asked, trying to get him to
look at her. She hadn't seen him act like this before...

David felt someone grab his arm and he roughly pushed the person
away. "I need to find her!" He screamed, glaring back at the
girl from before, "Alice... My Alice!" He grabbed his head and
moaned. "You're not her... Thought you were, but you weren't..."
He felt tears coming to his eyes and let one fall before he
could wipe them away; he turned away quickly, muttering to
himself and, for the moment, completely forgetting the girl was
right behind him. "I need to find her... they'll... they'll kill
her if I don't... She was with me before, but now she's gone! I
need to find her. Dodo... Poor Dodo, what do I tell him?! He
told me to look after her... Alice!"

Alex looked from the bow of the boat towards Korika. Soraxos
hooted from his shoulder, to which he said "Go, find it."
Soraxos took off, flying for the island. But as soon as he
reached the beach, he screeched and turned around, flying back.
Landing on Alex's shoulder, Soraxos hooted in a quick
succession.
Nodding, Alex turned back to Jake, who was at the wheel, and
said "We're going to Wonderland."
Jake blanched ever more than when Alex had mentioned Korika, but
nonetheless he started preparing the boat to go to Wonderland.
'You are one slippery creature...' Alex thought in admiration.
Not many had lasted this long in a hunt...

Cerys flinched when David shook her off, but she walked back to
him and grabbed his arm gently again. "David, it's all right...
calm down... it's okay..." she said soothingly, trying not to
cry. What had happened to him to make him like this? And who was
'Alice'? He had mentioned something about Dodo, as well... that
was what worried her the most. She glanced over her shoulder, as
if half-afraid that she would see Dodo there. All she saw were
Alikae and Sora, both with their backs to her, ready to defend
her if they needed to. She sighed and turned her attention back
to David. "Calm down. It's alright," she said again.

David shook his head and looked back at the girl; she looked
like she was going to cry. Suddenly having the urge to get this
girl to safety, he gulped and looked around before taking a deep
breath. "It's not alright..." He said quietly as the dark marks
around his eyes started to fade just a little. He looked back at
the girl one more time before taking off into the woods, hoping
she'd follow.

Cerys jumped when David took off, but didn't hesitate to run
with him, not caring anymore if Sora or Alikae came with her.
"David, where are you going?" she exclaimed, staying just behind
him. She didn't want to approach him again... he would just push
her away again, she was certain of it. As she ran, something wet
and warm started to flow down her cheeks. Something had happened
to David a while ago, and it had made him like this... it hurt
her to see him hurt. She continued running behind him, wondering
what had happened...
