The young man sighed as he shrugged, trying to adjust the black
coat that covered his body from the cold. His glacier-blue eyes
pierced the darkness of the park; a few street lights causing a
break in the darkness of the city. It was quiet here and the
young Rahl often preferred the quietness of his thoughts. He
hated being crowded and being around people and with lots of
noise. His nostrils flaring as he took in the polluted air,
exhaling it slowly as he strived to calm his nerves. The dirty
blond hair that hung to his shoulders and just past his eyes
became ruffled as the winter wind came through causing him to
curse in three different languages. Tristan sighed and shivered,
hugging his coat against himself before moving his fingers
stiffly in wild gestures as the air warmed up around him. A sigh
of relief escaped as he flexed his fingers. While he had been in
places that held colder weather and much, much harsher storms,
he hadn't been to those places in quite some time and had lost
his feel for ignoring the cold. He hadn't planned on staying
long in any case... Just passing through. He sighed and looked
up at the night sky, his throat tight with emotion. Oh Grug...
Where are you? His thoughts of his old friend usually put him in
a sour mood and this time was no exception. His lips frowned a
frown upon his otherwise perfect face that was dark with years
       being in the sun.
As thoughts of the gar receded, he stopped walking and looked
around for a bench; quickly finding one and just as quickly
sitting upon it. Stuffing his hands into his dark-blue jeans, he
let out a misty breath. His black boots tapping lightly on the
concrete walkway. A black pearl necklace adorned his neck, each
as flawless and perfect as the man that wore them. He had spent
months crafting each individual pearl. Each pearl served a
purpose, as well as the silver, gold, and black onyx cord that
was covered with leather. The leather helped hide the magical
qualities of his necklace and its connecting cord from people
that were from his birth place, since none he had met in his
travels had been able to sense his gift. While it was to his
advantage, he also disliked it. Not that he wasn't in physical
shape and couldn't handle a physical threat should the need
arise, he hated not having the assurance of other wizards
feeling his gift. He let out a resigned sigh and quit the
thought before he grew agitated, as was his wont to do outside
his home world. The young War Wizard smiled faintly as he
thought of home, his arctic irises becoming hidden as he enjoyed
the thoughts; his left hand rubbing a scar on his right forearm,
which formed a white circle that was spaced out evenly across
the circular scar, as if made from needles, which was true to a
       point.

And that laugh that wrinkles your nose, it touches my foolish

"In the end, we all die alone."
"Is it better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? It
may be answered that one should wish to be both, but, because it
is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be
       feared than loved."
