-Having propelled himself from a realm of fantasy, the
mechanical cherub soon found himself back where it all began.
Earth. Except, it wasn't the same, last time the mechanical
menace had put even one bulky foot upon it's surface. Unable to
locate the base in which it was originally built, the winged
cybernetic creature touched down on the surface of what it's
censors could only detect as earth. Though severely outdated, by
the extensively modernized tech around, the large mechanical
'man' stood to a full eight feet; gears and servos, winding and
churning as the nuclear fuel rods sent the flowing green toxins
through it's mechanical structure.-
-Unable to pick up on any organic life, or even any readings,
the mechanical monstrosity's optic sensors made desperate
attempts to gather information; starting to short out it's
primitively programmed intelligence. Having no data files on
anything this futuristic, the eight foot 'iron giant' couldn't
help but sound a warning from the beginnings of what would
surely prove to be a catastrophic system crash.-
-A mechanical voice sounded, as the monstrosity's legs brought
it back several steps; the servos grinding more and nearly
failing to come to a halt as the machine's wings close and
collapse in on themselves; folding up on it's back.- "Systems
analysis complete; systems approaching catastrophic overload.
Data files, obsolete. Weapons systems, obsolete. Mission
parameters pending. . . Weapons systems, armed and ready; danger
sensors, fully active; engaging defensive mode." -Moving
slightly, the gears and servos in it's arms, legs, and torso
grinding and turning more, the colossal machine seemingly curled
over in a ball; only it's head remaining outwards and the ionic
pulse cannons on it's back remaining out; ready to take aim at
anything that would be a threat.-

The Warring Universe

In a Dimension of change; of disorder and decay, two companies
arose on Earth. These twin programming giants fought side by
side against famine, pestilence, and war itself with technology
drafted from their own creative genius. They revolutionized
medicine, modern machinery, Artificial intelligence, as well as
cybernetic adaptations. They manifest new forms of transport,
light speed travel, warp, and other advancements the races of
men, and the beasts of the cosmos had never before witnessed.
They advanced beyond simplistic linear equations, and created
massive banks of computers to analyze every aspect of life at a
quantum level. Advancing protection to near impossible levels of
accuracy, as well as ridding all known illness from
civilization. But there was a price to the global expansion of
technology and ambient electronic frequencies.
Sterilization:
The Earth ceased producing seeds, animals could no longer mate,
and eventually, humanity was only kept alive by artificial gene
sequencing devices called MOTHERS. These massive warehouses
became storage devices for all the worlds genetic code, and when
a being wished to reproduce through proper legislative channels,
a cloned fetus would be created and genetically enhanced to meet
the requirements of the "parent". Thus, the human race continued
on, and thrived while its planet died, until the day of the
burst.
The sun was charged and nothing on terra could stop it when it
blew. A solar flare the size of the earth itself warped all
electrical conduits on Earth and immediately destroyed the
cryogenic bays where all new tissues and DNA were kept. MOTHERS
suddenly lost all functionality, as the worlds commerce grid
collapsed. Leaving it in darkness, and in ruin for what seemed
like an eternity. What survived, was to be expected. The two
companies that started the end, were now all that stood atop the
smoldering remains of humanity. One had begun producing
mechanical bodies for digitally enhanced cerebral processors,
while the other worked on far less machine, and far more
advanced cybernetic synthesis.
The two diverged immediately; splitting the city-planet in half
with their creations and walls, but upon the dawn of a second
flash from the sun, both organizations vanished. One hovered
away from earth; as if part of the planet itself peeled away,
and floated into space, whilst another seemed to fold from the
very surface of the Earth and vanish. The DA; or Dark Apostles,
led by their founder, creator, and a designer of many of their
facilities, tore into space like a kid into candy, and with a
final farewall to Earth, vanished into the depths of a sub-space
rift none had ever known before. Their population; no more human
than machine, ceased contact with all other races, species, and
worlds, as but one ship remained in constant orbit around mother
Earth. Morte; the leader of the DA, sat in the bridge of his
cosmic cruiser, and watched as his home was vaporized for the
final time, and his journey into the depths of space began.
While the always mysterious BLACKorg raised its city from the
ground, and flew across the known galaxy with massive propulsion
devices.
Both technologically advanced sects raced outward; spreading
their name, their worth, their power, and their tech to those
less developed, and within ten thousand years, the entire galaxy
was split down the middle. City-planets spewing black soot into
the far reaches of the atmosphere, and nano-tech planets
cloaking from sight altogether. Everything was in balance, and
yet the fear of sterilization still remained. Their tech was
dangerous, and both sects sought the other out for one reason.
To harvest their core AI, and improve their own process of
genetic splicing. So that one day, one group would rise as the
power above all others, while the other fell away as discarded
trash in the wind.
The BLACKorg maintained a selective process of breeding, genetic
enhancement, and mechanical augmentation, while The DA turned
every living thing that volunteered into a walking avatar of
technological wonder. Creating two very separate states of
technological decay in the universe, as well as two very
different forms of power. One created massive floating cities;
capable of leveling planets, while one hid planets, and created
conduits for concealing weapons in a digital plane. From
Flat-Space tech, to Servo-Motors, the two groups warred and
fought against one another. Declaring each as the ruler and
creator of new-manity, while degrading the other every way
imaginable.
Sabotage was constant; trade was rare, law was militarized, and
it was only getting worse. Both beasts of enterprise and
technology had a capital, and at the heart of each capital sat
their databanks. The keys to creating a true new-manity free of
sterilization, and free from fear of tyranny. But, they would
never see eye to eye long enough to agree, and thus, the endless
struggle of humanities extinction would continue til one side
saw the other defeated, and had what knowledge was kept guarded
at its heart.
::::Location Specifics::::
There are thirty four inhabited planets in each sects control.
All of which resemble Earth, through terraforming, and advanced
land-casting. These planets all house one outpost at least, and
the majority of them are controlled directly by one of the sects
powerful AI mainframes. Utilizing electronic signals to control
various machinery, technology, and security. Each planet is a
veritable fortress, and access to each is limited to its
commanding organization. These planets are always at war with
each other; always expecting ravaging salvos from a blockade
amongst the stars, while still, the 'humans' who live there
refuse to turn their attention to what is really happening. Each
person believes they are sided with the purity in the universe,
while believing their opposition is the very face of chaos. No
communication exists between the two, outside of gunfire, and
electromagnetic pulses.
There are six stations created and spread out by each of the
companies, and of their stations, one is sat stationary above
Old Earth. These two command posts are heavily fortified;
dangerously manned, and often times seen in glorious displays of
electromagnetic shielding. They are not however, the databanks
of which the other sect seeks. These are far more hidden, far
less known, and far better protected. For BLACKorg, the original
chunk of Old Earth that hovered away is now their ever-moving
capsule of knowledge. Their server so to speak. While The DA
hide their Database within one beings cerebral storage space.
Ten Trillion mainframe systems nestled into flat-space, and
folded away to where not even the operator of the cerebral space
can access them. Constantly cycling codes, encryptions, and
location, these two databanks are the most prized possessions in
all of the known universe. At least to Humanity.. and they dont
even know it
