Gabriel shook his head when the woman turned back around to look
at him, he gave a slight yawn and his eyes closed as the door
shut behind her. She was the perfect candidate to be a target
for an assassination and Gabe would have to stop it, his eyes
flashed a light blue color as he looked down at the packet and
the pages flipped through and answers popped on each one of the
pages, each one completely done work shown on those that asked
for it before he rose from the desk and walked out of the room
the books disappearing into the darkness of his book bag he laid
the packet down upon her desk and spoke, his voice dark and
mysterious yet so simple and elegant “the packets done where do
I sit in the actual classroom.” When he spoke he turned around
his eyes scanning the room hearing and reading into everyone’s
thoughts and opinions their minds like open books to him as he
awaited the woman’s seat position. Before she could answer
though the bell rang and Gabriel watched as the students cleared
out making sure to be the last one out of the room. When he got
outside of the classroom his locker had gotten moved to across
the hall from Holly’s room where he now sat rearranging his
books and cleaning out the mess that lay within his book bag.
Then his troubles began.
“Hey Newbie” the words he had heard in the kids mind before,
they had left the kids lips but Gabriel played along the
helpless kid that the bully picked on, Gabe knew the trick there
are bullies everywhere including magic school, the kid was a
rather simple kid and Gabriel knew that but he thought he was
all big and bad because he led the kendo club. He however did
not expect completely what happened next. The boys leg swung
upward aimed for Gabe’s chest connecting hard with it and
sending him sliding back into the locker he was standing in
front of, the bully snickered lightly before looking down at him
on the ground. “I don’t like you Newbie so you’re going to leave
my school got it?” Gabe rose to his feet and dusted himself off
as a crowd of students gathered around ready to watch a fight
break out, “No sir I will not leave your school.” The bully
looked surprised for a second but then gave a maniacal smile,
“fine then I will send you packing.” “Fight! Fight!” the
chanting had begun as the bully charged forward throwing simple
punches his way. Gabe took advantage of one opening in the mans
defense and slammed his open palm in the boy’s chest releasing
enough force to knock him to the ground. He stood there
victorious ready to get a punishment for what he did.

Holly finally caught a bus. But it arrived so late that she got
to the school an hour before it started. So she had no time to
be prepared. It was on these days she had a secret weapon. Movie
day. She would simply pop in a movie and quiz them on it the
next day while she created the quizes for them. So this is what
she did. When she was given the attendance sheets for the day,
she noticed one new student. Must be the file she was given
along with the sheets. So she read through it. The new student
was Gabriel. He was a highly intelligent student. His family
just moved here, the rest of it, she just flipped through. She
prepared a packet with half a semesters back work, and half a
semesters work in the future. By the time he caught up, he would
be right with the class . This should be no problem for him,
especially if he was as intelligent as the report said he was.
Finally when his class shuffled into the class room, she was
prepared. She stood and wrote her name on the board. She did
this with all new students. "My name is Holly Nocefeti. But
rather than butcher my name, please call me Holly. Gabriel,
please wait by the door, I shall get to you in a moment." Holly
popped in the movie and instructed the class to watch it and
remain quiet. Some may describe her as a hard teacher, but she
rewarded her class for their hard work if they all passed at the
end of the year by taking a class trip. But usually she didn't
do it, because one student fell. In which case she would pick
out a few select students from the classroom. The select few
being the honor students, for the trip and go to an amusement
park or something. It had since the year she started that she
paid for a whole class trip.
Holly looked at Gabe and nodded towards the door in the back of
the class room. As she led him back there some of the students
made snide comments, but she ignored them. She opened the door
to the back room. It was an average sized room, with maybe three
or four desks, and a couple shelves for storage. She sat down a
thick packet on the desk, and walked along the shelves grabbing
books. Once she collected them she sat them on the desk. "Now I
know it seems like a lot, but I want you to catch up with the
class. I know this wont be too hard for you. Your file says you
are quite the genious. I brought you back here so the movie
didn't distract you. I will be out at my desk if you need
anything." She moved for the door, but stopped short, "Is there
anything you need at this moment?"

He yawned softly as he walked through the doors of the school, a
book bag slung over his shoulders and his oddly sapphire eyes
glancing around, ‘You’re here to protect a female teacher.’
Gabe’s eyes squinted and he glanced around looking for this
teacher, but to no avail his eyes returned to their normal
stature his 5’6 body continuing through the school doors.
Gabriel this will be your toughest challenge yet, the words of
his master echoed in his head as he walked. His long dark black
tied up in a ponytail, the sapphire tattoos that lay upon his
face not glowing but just sitting there and for once he was in
normal clothes, a dark pair of black jeans that hung loosely
from his legs and a white t-shirt that sat over a dark black
beater. He walked forward once again the security officers hands
patting up and down his body and then wanding him before letting
him through and when his eyes rose they stared in disbelief at
the school before him, it was actually quite beautiful though
normal just beautiful.
The walls were a marble material colored with a pearly white
color, his hands grazed the material lightly before he moved
forward towards the principal’s office the doors made of a hard
wood material with the names painted along the top of the door.
This is the first time he would be at a normal school and the
last time hopefully. He took one step into the office and looked
at the female at the desk, he took a pen off the desk before
looking up at her his eyes flashing an emerald color for a
second as he spoke “I need one of my classes switched so I’m
taking Holly’s class understand.” The woman nodded before typing
away as Gabe walked in the back to see the principal, a pretty
female sitting behind a desk, “well you’re all set Gabriel it
seems though you’re taking a class with Holly well she’s a grade
higher than what you’re supposed to be in be in but that’s ok.
Now run along to breakfast.” With that the male rose and made
his way into the lunchroom and sat at the back table alone
picking an onyx black book from his bookbag and began reading
it.

The loud alarm rang in the dead of night. Holly sat up and
brushed her hair out of her face. Fifteen after three. Blonde
hair fell back in her sleepy face as she sat up and turned off
the alarm. Rubbing her eyes she shuffled to her bedroom door and
slipped on her fuzzy slippers and headed to her kitchen. Once
there she turned on her coffee pot and moved to her table.
Before sitting she yawned loudly and stretched. So loud her cat,
Blue, jumped down from the counter and hissed. She knelt down to
pet the cat. After a while of petting the cat the coffee pot
gurgled to prove done. She raised from the cat and poured
herself a cup, adding sugar and creamer to her liking. A couple
of cups later at about 3:45 am she got in the shower and
dressed.
Putting on a black shirt with three quarter in sleeves, and
faded blue jeans. By the time 4:15 hit, she had her hair and
make up done. Clothes and shoes on, and she was ready to go. Or
she would be. If she could find her keys. Which she couldn't
find. After about five minutes of searching she figured she
wouldn't find them. If she was going to catch the bus to get
there on time she would have to go now. She grabbed her wallet,
which held her ID. The age on it was 24, young for a teacher,
but she had always been a brilliant girl growing up. If it
wasn't for her looks she would have been made fun of for being a
nerd all the way through high school. Sure she was no prom queen
in high school, but she was by far not a loser. A cheer leader,
in honors classes. She had the best of both worlds. Most people
didnt have that. Locked her door, and reached up above her door
to grab the spare door key as she left, sliding it in her back
pocket.
The squeak of the bus breaks where heard from the open window
against the wet cement of the otherwise dead street. She had a
couple flights of stairs to get down before she could go out
side. Sprinting down the stairs she prayed the bus would wait.
But to no avail. The bus pulled away before she hit the bottom
flight. Running out the door ran to the bus stop. Kicking the
bench there, she hurt her foot, now it throbbed in her shoe.
Several curses fell from her mouth as she plopped down on the
wet bench. Cursing again as the water soaked through her jeans.
Beautiful day. Beautiful.
