Putin has gone too far because he is toxic and crazy in some way
or at least unpredictable and dangerous. So they want to get rid
of it. But whether they want Russia to become a democratic and
open society led by people who are not corrupt and care about
the socio-economic development of the country I really doubt it.
What they want is a Putinism without Putin. cosmetic changes
such as bringing some liberal economists into government
although it must be said that the government is already
dominated by neoliberal economists. All these economists, both
inside and outside government, hold the same views and the same
       approach to economics.

resign. And if he ends up resigning, whatever form it takes, it
won't be the end of the movie but the beginning of a deeper
crisis, as Western and Russian elites expect. I am not talking
about the collapse of Russia but about Russia. I’m talking about
the social and political struggle that will erupt within Russia
       for power and influence.
Real change means turning Russia into a democratic society, one
that is no longer dominated by foreign capital interests and
Russian investment abroad. This is an important issue in the
decision-making of the Russian elite. Russian society wants a
different economic development and people understand that this
is necessary. This completely goes against the assumptions of
Russian and Western elites. In a sense we are in a situation
that is very similar to what Russia was going through in 1999
when Great Britain and Germany were apparently tired of the
Tsar. This created a very strange situation because the.
