Turbolaser power based on Wiki stats
   DIR By: Dutch
       Date: December 4, 2020, 2:35 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
According to a Wiki page [1], a heavy turbolaser bolt has the
explosive power of 250g of TNT. 250g of TNT equals 1046000
joules. [2] The energy required to melt 25g of ice at its
freezing point is 8290 joules. [3] So a heavy turbolaser shot
could melt 2.5 kg of ice.
To melt and vaporize iron takes about 7.63 megajoules per
kg of iron. [4] So our turbolasers can vaporize roughly 137g of
       iron per shot.

Tantive IV hit by turbolaser bolt
   DIR By: Dutch

I'll assume the smaller ship (Tantive IV) is 7 feet long. The
radius of the biggest blast is about 2 feet, so the explosive
yield of the bolt is (very roughly) 10g minimum (or 41840
       joules). [1]
       Confidence in figure: 5/10
Okay, you don't like that answer. I'll try again, using the
vaporization of the Tantive IV's armor (not melting, as we see
vapor). The energy required to vaporize 1 kg of iron is about
763000 joules [2]—almost as powerful as turbolasers get.
       Confidence in figure: 7/10

       ISD vaporizes asteroid in TESB
   DIR By: Dutch

The rock is clearly vaporized. Scaling off the ISD it is at
least 0.4 meters in diameter, based on Brian Young's figures.
Assuming it's solid iron it has a mass of 503.68 kg and requires
       7.63 x 503.68 = 3840 MJ to vaporize. If the vaporization occurs
within 1/15 of a second, the power of the bolt is roughly 57600
       MW.
Remember that these figures are conservative, and apply only to
light turbolasers in a shrunken SW (RW heavy turbos). Some have
       claimed
  HTML http://picard578.6te.net/startrek-vs-starwars/star_wars/space/starship_tactical_systems/turbolasers.html<br
/>that the bolts came from heavy turbolasers, by showing that
       the
tiny guns we saw on the Death Star couldn't have fired them.
However, those tiny guns are not turbolasers! All bolts actually
identified as turbolasers have been several meters wide, as
opposed to less than a foot for those guns. They're
point-defense guns. The massive turrets on the top of an ISD are
heavy turbos. The ones so comparatively small we can't normally
see them are light or medium ones.

       The Mandalorian: Razor Crest destroyed

The fireball appears to be about seven feet in diameter (scaling
off the Razor Crest). The 1 PSI radius (where windows will
break) appears to be less than 20 feet, judging by the lack of
effect on the surrounding rocks. Therefore, according to the
       Conventional Explosives
       Effects Calculator
  HTML https://www.alternatewars.com/BBOW/Weapons/Conv_Explosive_Calculator.htm<br
/>the yield is less than 1-2 lbs of TNT (2-4 MJ).
