       Newton's Third Law

       Newton's Third Law states
  HTML https://www.physicsclassroom.com/class/newtlaws/Lesson-4/Newton-s-Third-Law:<br
       />
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
This means that if you hit someone and don't brace yourself,
you'll by knocked back too. Fiction commonly ignores this, a
famous example being Tom and Jerry
  HTML https://prezi.com/sehyh5p-eyly/tom-and-jerry-defy-physics/?frame=8a9d59643a5e0e9953a6a3c75b27435b9608487a.<br
/>Here is where we put analyses of how well various feats and
       happenings take it into account.

       Dáin doesn't react

       In another post
  HTML https://rodentwarsnet.createaforum.com/database/weapon-calculations/msg319/#msg319<br
       />I estimated that Dáin
  HTML https://rodentwarsnet.createaforum.com/database/dain-ii-ironfoot/<br
/>is probably hitting with roughly 0.5 newtons (51 grams) of
force, and I think that is probably low. However, the orc he is
riding cannot weigh more that 70g, and Dáin himself most likely
weighs 40g. Together their weight is probably about 100g. Dáin
just sent an orc flying with a blow, so his orc should react to
the opposite force. But nothing happens. Even worse, the orc
does sway under the weight of the hammer as Dáin swings it
round; this means that the orc is unaffected by a 51g push, yet
is thrown off balance by a comparatively puny weight of no more
       than 8g (possibly only 3g).

Hiccup, who in RW probably weighs maybe 30g at most, is throwing
60g Berserkers! How this got past the editor is beyond me.

       Azog breaks Newton's Third Law

Azog isn't reacting anywhere nearly enough to the force of
smashing those Dwarves. Also, he could never throw them like
       that
