Hiccup vs Astrid

Right off the bat, Astrid does a suicidal spin and Hiccup fails
to take advantage of it. Then, they get into a blade lock, which
lasts way too long, and then another. Hiccup somehow throws
Astrid. She leaps into the air and misses him, and then they
both start doing all kinds of crazy spinning and kicking, which
makes no sense in a fight. Hiccup then does a cool and actually
not inaccurate spinning kick to take Astrid down.
Also, from what I hear, that's not how you use an axe that big.
You keep it moving to keep momentum, and you should use it
paired with a shield.

Ahsoka vs Maul
By: Dutch Date: February 24, 2021, 4:40 pm

[Gif no longer available; you can find the scene on YouTube.]
I found 6 mistakes:
Ahsoka does a suicide spin.
Maul fails to take advantage of the spin.
Maul does a suicide spin.
Ahsoka fails to take advantage of the spin.
The moves are too fancy and flashy. For example, Maul twirls his
lightsaber behind his back.
Ahsoka fails to take advantage of the twirl.

Duel on Mustafar

The combatants are standing too close together.
Most of the blows don’t even come close to hitting the enemy.
Both fighters are leaving their heads and legs open.
Both fighters of course don’t take advantage of the gaps. At
that range, if one of them thought to get in a blade lock, the
other fighter would lose his arms or legs for sure. Yet they
refuse to exploit this.
There are numerous openings in the defense of both duelists.
Those spins the fighters perform would be suicide in an actual
fight, especially when they are standing two feet apart.

Grievous vs Kenobi TCW

Grievous (the robot-looking guy) is apparently aiming for
Kenobi’s saber and electrostaff.
Grievous keeps leaving himself open.
Grievous keeps bringing all his sabers down in the same place.
Kenobi makes a suicidal leap over Grievous’ head.
Grievous fails to cut Kenobi in half as he makes the suicidal
leap.
Kenobi gets kicked by Grievous and somehow flies about twelve
feet.

Windu vs Sidious

What is the matter with Sidious? He keeps bouncing all over the
place. Why?
Windu refuses to kill Sidious while he's in the air, with no way
to protect himself.
However, I like Windu's style. He doesn't do many spins and
other nonsense, and his motions look pretty realistic. Looks
like me when I'm holding back.

Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul final showdown
By: Dutch Date: March 13, 2021, 4:07 pm

This it literally my favorite lightsaber duel. And my second
favorite sword fight of all.
I don't see anything wrong with it. It's a masterpiece. A sword
expert rated it at fifteen out of ten in this video
HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0edTDUQfqys
(language warning).
And if you think the distance is off, remember that that's the
point. Obi-Wan makes it look as if he's falling into Maul's trap
by not retreating. That's what allows Maul to strike, and
Obi-Wan to counter.
Rating: 9/10 at least, probably 10/10

Maul and Obi-Wan practice
By: Dutch Date: March 31, 2021, 3:23 pm

Maul does lots of fancy spins.
Kenobi is a “good sport” and doesn’t cut Maul in half.
Kenobi jumps over Maul’s blade despite the fact that he could’ve
just stepped back a few inches, or done nothing at all—it
doesn’t look like he was in danger of being hit anyway.

Dooku vs Obi-Wan AotC
By: Dutch Date: March 31, 2021, 3:44 pm

Dooku is aiming for Kenobi's lightsaber.
Kenobi barely attacks, even when to do so might win the fight.
Kenobi could have cut off Dooku's legs, but he didn't extend his
arms nearly enough.

Yoda vs Sidious

HTML http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/revenge-of-the-sith/pics/revenge-sith9.gif
Both opponents are aiming for each other’s lightsabers.
Yoda’s jumping around is a useless waste of energy.
Yoda’s final parry is at an angle that gets him into a bind
where he has the disadvantage.
Neither opponent tries to use the bind to their advantage.
