I will ignore the part at the five-second mark where shields are
able to stop a phaser, which wouldn't happen in RW. I will also
assume that the Bird-of-Prey is a Mk.III (armed with blaster
cannons instead of disruptors).
On to the analysis:
[list]
[li]First of all, why does the Enterprise just run? They outgun
the Klingons more than four to one! Their strategy seems to be,
"Turn the other cheek".[/li]
[li]Second, why do they only fire one phaser? With a couple
phasers they could badly damage the Bird, and the same with a
torpedo or two.[/li]
[li]Thirdly, the Klingons apparently have either terrible
eyesight or incompetent targeting systems. They miss four
times![/li]
[li]Fourth, why don't the Enterprise's crew just charge the
shield frequency to stop the blaster bolts? Surely that would
help, even if the Klingons can sense it and adjust.[/li]
