...shouldn't it be contributing member instead of contributed
member?
I don't mind having my account contributed to the community, but
still.

On other forum websites I've seen it spelled as
''contributing'', and not contributed.

I'm pretty sure it should be contributed member, because you
have contributed in the past, thus why you have 1000+ posts.
Also, what if someone got that badge over a 10 month span or
something?
They would be a contributed member, not contributing, because
they have contributed in the past.
