I tell all my clients. If you are prepping for a local/regional
show, set aside 3-5k outside of what they pay me. If you are
prepping for a national show, set aside 10-15k outside of what
they pay me. There isn't anything cheap about bodybuilding.

You advices, My Uncle said use to be dball, deca and androl 50
from a local doctor. Total 100=150 dollars a show. I think
wow. But I see the difference in todays line up. Bigger harder
       and and ripped. Beast Mode.

That is nuts! You could buy a car a year with that. I don't know
how much a low level pro makes in a year but if they spend that
       much...damn.

Only the top 5 guys in the world can actually make a living off
winnings. The rest don't even make enough money in winnings to
pay for their prep. If it wasn't for endorsements and their
business ventures in the industry, they wouldn't be able to
survive. The guys living in the Middle East actually are state
sponsored, almost like having a government position as a
bodybuilder. Guys like Kamal will get 150k from their
governments for competing and doing well. This is why we have
seen a surge in bodybuilders coming from the Middle East.

I have heard rumors of BBs doing very questionable things for
$$$ in the gay community oven if they are not gay to pay for it
all. Same with MMA fighters at the lower levels. Dakota Cochrane
was rumored to do gay porn to pay for training and food. He is
       straight and has 3 kids.
I do not love hobby enough to blow a dude. HAHA
I am sure many amateur BB sell gear and recs? Anyway, follow
       one's own bliss I guess.
No disrespect intended by my post. There are dark sides to
everything. I bet there are PEDs and seedy shit going on for pro
       chess players too.

The gay stuff is as real as the sun. I remember the first time I
was approached about it, back in 1998. I was at a Muscle Mag
International photo shoot and some older guy came up and tried
to shake me down. I was still a kid, so it really freaked me
out. Still haunts me. Haha. Anyways, a lot of dirty ass
predators in this business looking to take advantage young
bodybuilders, because they know exactly how hard it is to
survive. Thankfully they have IG and YouTube now, so guys can
actually earn a living doing that. Hell, at worst they could do
an OnlyFans and do whatever they felt comfortable doing. Like
the South Park episode on Paramount, Cred, "I already jerk off 2
hours a week, why not make it 4 hours and make a little money
       off of it?" LMAO.
