Caught all keepers yesterday. Not one under 10" 1/2 on minnows
and 1/2 on black and chartreuse jig.
FUN!

Nice! I was thinking of going Wednesday, but now it says it is
100% chance of rain and 20+ mph winds. Could change by then
though.

I watched Jeremy Wade catch those on River Monsters. Makes me
not want to get into the water.

LOL. Mr. Wade is "The Man". I've only seen two in my time in
Ukraine. They were maybe 5 lb or more. I heard and tasted
them. They were good meat. I watched them peel the skin off
all dark the red and pink meat.

42 degrees. And warming. Went out on the boat and could not get
bit. Came back to the slip and caught 2 big crappie before I had
to go. They were full of eggs. By the end of the month if the
water continues to warm they will turn on.

Next month if time allows. I'm going to head to Poconos. My
friends own Trout hatcheries. People come from all over to
fish. The funny thing is you catch them on their own eggs. You
just jab a hook in the eggs and fish. I just do it because.
It's free and my diet in summer is 85% fish.
It is fun and good to eat. I think they charge a certain
amount per pound.

When I fished the Pecos river I used salmon eggs. Never caught
anything though.

When we fished for Steelhead and Salmon in the Pacific NW we
would use their eggs as bait. Only worked around the spawn
though. Even if you froze the eggs from last year and tried them
during the early runs. They would only bite eggs when they got
spawn aggressive.
