Parramatta crush Penrith in Season Opener
It was a disastrous start to the Season for the Penrith Panthers
going down to the Eels 64 - 22 at Parramatta Stadium. The two
teams met just a day ago in the Battle of the West trial in
which the Eels won 50 - 18 however no one expected the Panthers
to play even worse when they met in round one.
Penrith started the game in fine form leading the earlier stages
12-6 after 11 minutes however from that point on Penrith would
only score another 10 points to Parramatta's 58. The game saw a
total of 3 injuries and crucially 2 to the Panthers Kevin
Kingston and Brad Tighe and only one to the Eels Ryan Morgan.
Penrith's coach was left scratching his head at the result
saying "I just don't know what happened. The boys played well
early on but really fell apart once the injuries occurred. I
have to congratulate a dominant Eels side who will no doubt go
far this Season."
Penrith will face a Warriors side in New Zealand in round 2.

Of course not -just match stats. But we encourage the reports,
really gives this comp personality and intrigue!

Seems like you make up for it on the scoreboard!
I love a good write up -I keep a notepad handy and keep track of
when the tries are scored and how then put it all together in a
Foxsports post match write up -it's all kinda wankey, but a good
read ;P
Gratz btw -your 1st on the ladder currently!
