       lions den to battle it out for the top 8th - aces pick -knights
       by 1

       Knights in a canter:
       Newcastle Knights 54 def. Warriors 18
       Newcastle fans were treated to blockbusting display this
       evening, as their home side romped away to an easy victory. Wes
       Naiqama gave an inexperienced looking Konrad Hurrell nightmares,
       as he cantered for a game high 170m. Five other Knights trampled
       out 100+ on a night where not one could make a dent for the
       visitors. The opening play of the game saw the Knights stroll
       in, as the Warriors seemingly made a line break from the kick
       off, only to throw the ball to an unmarked Naiqama who waltzed
       in for his first of two tries. Then, inexplicably Nathan Friend
       blew a chance to level, when he threw a cut out pass over the
       tryline, instead of grounding the ball. The pass went dead, and
       so did the Warriors.
       'I'm confused.' Whinged the Warriors head coach. 'We played
       dumb. That's not how we've been training.' When asked if he
       thought the bounce of the ball went against them, he replied
       'This result was not about a bounce of the ball. We had 39% of
       possession, and what possession we did have, we wasted with dumb
       football.' Coach devoidoid refused to speculate on his side's
       chances for the 8.
