Manly will be hoping to put back to back wins on the board.
Coach benz had this to say "it is important for the team to get
a few wins on the board especially this close to the finals. If
we can get a bit of confidance heading into a few big matches
then it will put us in a good frame for the finals".
Injury news: Manly medical staff were relieved after scans
cleared Brett Stewart of a knee injury that ruled him out of the
2009 season. Snake had this to say "yeah I was running and heard
a poping sound. I thought it was my knee, but as it turns out it
was George Rose. He ate curry the night before the game and had
the runs".

After a couple of solid hit outs under a new coach, the Warriors
are looking at getting back to basics. Anchored near the foot of
the table means the results are not the end goal, but playing an
attractive brand of footy and winning the fans back is. The
young Pita Godinet gets another crack in the #6, while Elijah
Taylor's youthful enthusiasm is rewarded with another start
also. The only change to the 17 is Ben Henry dropping off the
bench for Lewis Brown.

Good question -- the thing is, if a player gets injured, or is
sent off, it's a 1 week stand down. But I'm keen to play our
rd10 fixture tonight if you can get you rd9 match done?

You can play one round ahead. If you have played round 8 but
move on to round 10 because a coach is away then your round 8
injuries will be carried over to round 10. Any injuries
sustained in your round 10 game will be carried back to your
round 9 game.
Rd9 injuries will skip to round 11. It gets a little sticky, but
you have to post your injuries and keep on top of them. I have
done this a few times (played ahead before I went overseas).
You should really only be doing it if your opponent is going
away or has skipped the forum for a few days. If you are itching
to play then play some CC matches against whoever you want. The
monthly Champions Comp has promise.
