I dated someone who said you could spell a name Zueptxorq and
pronounce it "Bob". There's a reason I'm not with him anymore.
A couple from my hometown paper: Catori (girl), Olivia Danger,
and Addisyn-Nickole Daniella Dessa Anne Lastname, who was
pictured with a flower on her headband as big as her name.

I wonder how many of those were family last names.

Ha! My niece's name, Kaitlynn, is on the livescience article!

I'm going to very naughtily call out one of my nephew's middle
       names.
It's Javonne. Like, Janice and Yvonne (his grandmothers)
contracted. Sigh. We tried to tell my sister (tactfully) that
maybe it wasn't a great idea, but, here we are.
We also have a cousin named Tesand. Ted and Sandra. There are
some wonderful other examples from my dad's side of the family
but... I'm feeling a little depressed now.
From that celebrity middle name page, I love Alois.

It's not particularly obnoxious-sounding, but something about it
       bothers me.

Maybe because EVERY OTHER NAME is an -aden? Aiden, Brayden,
       Caden / Kaden, Jaden ...

Here's the deal. You don't get to pronounce stuff the way you
want. You pronounce it the way it IS SAID. Nhydia is either
Nye-dia or Niddea. A Y does not make an A sound.
This trend really pisses me off. My first name is Kristin (and
we won't even get into why 90% of America thinks it's spelled
"Christen," which is not a name but a verb). It's pronounced
just like it looks. There is no other logical way to pronounce
it. I don't get to say, "It's pronounced Kristine," because it
would have to have an E on the end to get that sound. -tin is
       NOT -tine.
       GRRRRR.
(I have always found names intriguing, and I think their
importance to our social development is crucial and understated,
and my contention will be borne out when Jermajesty Jackson and
poor little Moxie Crimefighter Jillette turn to lives of crime.)

I was watching Toddler & Tiaras yesterday (don't judge me! I was
having an awful day and needed trashy tv to accompany my World
       of Warcraft):
       Contagia
(the poor little girl sounds like a sci-fi or zombie novel)
       and
       Maverick
(an awesome word or nickname... not so much a name).
