Rules
DIR By: Addie
Date: March 7, 2012, 12:39 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
1. Be courteous to all other members. This includes (but is not
limited to) no name calling, no mocking, no personal attacks.
Don't make Wil Wheaton cry.
2. No foul language.
3. Try to use paragraph breaks, correct spelling and grammar. It
makes posts so much easier to read.
4. Always keep Occam's razor in mind. Yes, it is possible that
the person is autistic, disabled, allergic but more often than
not they are just rude.
5. No other forum bashing.
6. If reposting advice columnists, post the link (and preferably
summarize the letter you're referring to as well). Don't
copy/paste the letter, people can be so sensitive about
copyright infringement ;).
7. No illegal material, pornography, nudity or spam.
8. While medical and legal advice is fine, keep in mind that
this is the internet and the person who's giving you this advice
could very well be a yak stylist instead of a renowned
surgeon/lawyer.
9. If people don't agree with your point after three or four
posts, they won't agree with it at all. Repeating the same
argument again and again isn't productive.
10. This is not a therapy forum. Don't post about same personal
problems again and again, and if you do, expect to be called on
it. The "Ups and Downs" board is not for free sympathy. If you
don't want advice, say so in your first post.
11. Try to stay on topic and don't jack a thread with your
problems. Sharing similar situations is fine, finding strenuous
connections for the sake of telling us how great or how terrible
your spouse/your family/your kids/your pets are isn't.
And the most important rule of them all: 12. Have fun.

How do I go about getting my pet yak styled?
(Kidding. I do not have a pet yak. Only a very grouchy cat who
shares my residence but refuses to acknowledge I exist.)

Nothing wrong with pet yaks. Nothing at all.
I am stroking mine right now.
