What Would You Do (Party Edition)

Okay really stupid question, but I want to figure out who in the
situation is more retarded.
You are at a birthday party for a 1 year old. The refreshment
table has the following: fruit salad, regular salad, sliced
italian bread and a big antipasta platter, mini quiches with
broccoli, and muffins.
Do you eat a mini quiche?
(I swear there will be a point to this).

You mean first? No, I'd start with the muffins. I might get to
the quiche eventually, but probably not because broccoli is
evil.

Yeah, if it's on the table it's on offer, so I will eat what I
want from the offerings.
If someone gets annoyed because I ate something they were
effectively serving to everyone, I am not the one who is in the
wrong.

Of course I would. It'd likely be the only proteiny thing I
could eat there, since most antipasti platters are heavily
pork-based.
I'm dying to hear the reason behind the question. :)

I wouldn't, but more because of the broccoli. :P But any other
kind of mini-quiche I would definitely snack on.

I would also like to add broccoli is evil, so this would be a
hypothetical one I'm eating.

Okay so the big reveal is that the quiches were for the
"babies". Since it was a party for a 1 year old there were some
assorted children there.
Now it was on the table with all the other food--no sign or
anything. So some of us adults ate the quiches. They the tray
disappeared and we found out they were for the babies since
"they couldn't eat the grown up food".
Now is there some world where mini brocolli quiches = toddler
food? Like how were we supposed to know we shouldn't eat them?
If I had to guess the one kid item on teh table I would have
guessed the muffins. And the quiches tasted fine and were
frankly better than most of the items on the table.

Hyopthetically, yes, of course. (In reality, no, because eggs
are gross.)
You broccoli haters are freaks! :P
OK, just saw the update. I'm calling a spade a spade: That is
ridiculous. If some food is reserved, you don't put it with the
other food. And I have never seen a baby eat quiche before.

There was one real baby (not walking) and the rest seemed to be
ages 1 - 2 1/2.
Having been a hostess, logically I know I shouldn't feel bad
about eating one quiche, but it made me feel like I was stealing
lunch from babies.
Oh and these weren't the mini mini quiches, these were cupcake
sized so they seemed kind of big for most of the kids as well.
ETA: Fixed typos!
