Short of a ditch burial, what are the options?
   DIR By: DanglyParts

       ---------------------------------------------------------
You may remember (or not, more likely) that I posted about a
crummy situation with my brother on the old forum. A quick
recap: he brought his unpleasantly fundamentalist vegan
girlfriend to Christmas lunch at my mum's house where she
behaved like an utter rude boor and was subsequently banned from
       future events at my mother's.
My brother was aware that she wasn't to be included and in the
time since then (over 2 years) she hasn't come to my mum's
       house.
So, my brother was transferred to another state with work and is
only in town periodically and almost never gives advance notice,
preferring the SURPRISE! means of announcement.
(Side note, he did this to my folks in London once. Luckily he
told a sister he was planning on showing up on their doorstep 2
days before Christmas and she let the folks know. Still, gives
you an idea of what we're dealing with.)
Anyway, he was in town for Easter and let me know via message. I
wasn't able to be there as I was working all day Easter Sunday
and he had to fly home. I spoke to mum when I finished work that
night and found that... he had brought his girlfriend with him.
Unannounced. To Easter. When he knows mum is not okay with it.
       UNANNOUNCED.
After all that, what are the options here? I don't really have a
dog in this race, I'm wondering if there's anything my mum can
say that would possibly get this through to him, aside from WHEN
I TELL YOU NOT TO BRING THAT AWFUL WOMAN INTO MY HOUSE, YOU'D
BEST RESPECT IT, YOU TWONK! My mum is pretty patient but he's
done a lot of stuff over the past few years that have really
       tried her patience.

I would not have let them in.
He's been told. Now he will likely assume that his parents
didn't really mean it, he can just bring the girlfriend again as
a surprise and it will be fine.

Exactly this. Now he thinks he can get around it.

Sadly, I think a ditch burial is the cheapest and most effective
       solution at this point.
Well, not exactly, but this really isn't your battle to fight.
It's your mom's. If this were my brother, I could have a chat
with him and point out that he's being a disrespectful
buttmunch, but it doesn't sound like the two of you have that
sort of relationship, which doesn't leave you many options.

Putting my vote with this. Every time he's allowed in without
announcement, he's just learning that he can get away with
       whatever he wants.

This is my personal favourite. My brother and I don't get along
very well. I don't think he gets along with any of us very well,
       to be honest.
I've told mum she should've just not let them in, but it's
always a lot easier to say that than it is to do it. Plus we
would just straight up never hear the end of it. He holds
grudges that would put the Black Donnellys to shame.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll pass them onto my mum.
Worse comes to worst, I'll clean my shovel in preparedness.

So, if he's not let in and gets upset by it, would that stop him
from visiting?? I really don't see the downside to that.

This one looks like the best option right now, but your mom has
to make the decision to do the follow-through of the original
       threat.
It is things like this that makes my husband let me answer the
door - I'm the hard-ass in the family.

       Team Ditch Burial, here. 8)
Well, no, not really. I think the next move is to not invite
brother to the next family function. If he calls and asks, be
       vague.
