       I love that description.  I think I may have to use it sometime.
       
       I wonder if her apparently immunity comes from a combination of
       1) her incredibly lengthy institutional knowledge (she's been
       here for over 10 years) and 2) her protected status as a
       religious minority.
       Maybe I should start playing up the fact that I'm Buddhist and
       Latina.  So many people assume that because I appear white and
       this is the US South, I must be Christian.   ::)
