I think I was rude to the pharmacy tech?

I'm having trouble with my pharmacy and my doctor's office
communicating effectively to the point that it has sometimes
caused a week long delay in getting refills. This won't matter
for much longer as my new insurance goes into effect next month
and I'll be using a new doctor and pharmacy. But I want to know
if I should apologize to the pharmacy tech.
My doctor has only been approving my BCP on a month to month
basis rather than 3 or 6 months at a time. From what I've
gathered, the pharmacy apparently sends 3 requests (one for each
month). Pharmacy Tech called me on Wednesday leaving a message
saying that my script was denied. I called back on Thursday and
asked them to check because there was some confusion the last
few times I requested a refill and the script was actually
approved. I then call my doctor's office. Per my doctor's
office, they denied 2 of the requests and approved one an that
they'd had problems with this pharmacy not looking through all
the paperwork they receive. They sent a fax to the pharmacy
letting them know that they had approved the refill.
The pharmacy tech then calls me back asking if I was planning on
picking up my script that day because they got the fax "saying
to stop telling you that it was denied" but that they still
didn't have an actual approval. I told hm that I wasn't going
to pick anything up until I got a text or call saying it was
ready and repeated what my doctor's office said. This
apparently really confused the tech and as I was trying to
explain, he kept talking over me.
Finally, I was able to interject, somewhat harshly, "Two things.
One, you need to let me speak so I can explain this. And two,
you need to sort this out with my doctor's office because this
has now happened several months in a row." He said "Yes ma'am."
and then I said "Thank you" and hung up.
For the record, I found the tech to be really obtuse and
somewhat rude by continuing to talk over me as I was trying to
explain. But was I rude in how I spoke to him at the end? Do I
need to apologize when I finally go in to pick up my script?

I wouldn't, I don't think you were rude. I find it so ridiculous
to have to run interference between the doctors office and the
pharmacy. This happened to me several times until I finally
started going to a different pharmacy. Its amazing that the one
I have now has never once had an issue.
He was talking over you, I'm not sure what else you could have
done to make him stop and listen.

I wouldn't apologize -- the pharmacy has demonstrated a
continued lack of reading comprehension by being unable to
figure out that your prescriptions aren't actually denied, and
someone talking over me is absolutely one of the fastest ways to
get my back up because it's flat-out rude (unless it's one of
those situations where you both start talking at once, stop,
start again, etc; then it's just funny). Being blunt does not
necessarily equate to being rude, even though there are people
who will say it does.

I wouldn't apologize either. It is not your job to work out the
issues this pharmacy is having. I would have been blunt as well.
