Pet peeves

What little things drive you nuts?
I can' think of any at the moment, of course, but I have
hundreds.

Two silly ones that came up recently-
1. people driving 10 mph below the speed limit in the middle or
left lanes in clear weather (when the right lane is otherwise
available). I am a slower driver too! I get it! but.. but..
don't hang out in the middle lane. Or the left. The right lane
is RIGHT THERE. It's a lovely, beautiful, useable lane. I was
driving home from my parents' yesterday and this happened two or
three times. The last time, I glared at the car and calmly
informed them, aloud (because obviously they could hear) that
they were the worst kind of people.
2. mall clothes in stores that are crazy wrinkled. I worked in
retail, I know stuff comes in awful condition sometimes and it's
impossible to get EVERY last wrinkle out.. but I'm talking about
clothes that have not even seen a steamer. I'm not going to pay
$45 for a shirt that's covered in a million tiny wrinkles, no
matter how cute it is. idk if it's poor standards in the store
or (this is my guess) the company not offering enough stock
time/payroll to properly process the merchandise, but as a
shopper, it's a huge turn off.
those are my two first world problems, for today.

People with religious messages in their work email signatures.

I have the normal stuff such as people who leave their empty
carts in parking spaces instead of putting them in a cart
corral.
But then I have some pet peeves that I've been told are not
normal.
It makes my blood boil whenever someone confuses venom and
poison, and every time I see a portabello mushroom something
listed as the default vegetarian option on a menu, I want to
grab a gun and hunt down whoever first said, "Hey! I'll just
toss a gigantic fungus at dem der vegetarians and call it a
meal."

I agree. Tag that alongside the college student with the
religious club she pushes every... chance... she... gets. In
class, before class, after class, on our individual class
message boards...

I once took a about a three hour road trip with my aunt. One a
two lane highway. She drove in the left lane the entire time
below the speed limit. I asked her why and she said that way she
didn't have to worry about cars merging from the on ramps ::)
We were flipped off, cussed at, blown horns, the entire way. She
just ignored it and said that's just the way she drives on
highways. I was so mortally horrified that I was as low as the
floorboards in that stupid car for the whole trip and I wouldn't
take no for an answer when I said I'll drive on the way back.

1. dirty bathtubs. I always wash the bathtub when I'm done. Why
can't others?
2. newspapers out of order
3. Lately, folks who say "oh, this is such a first world
problem," which is, in itself a first world problem. ;)

When my boss leaves "paper puddles" on my desk with scribbled
notes on them that I can barely read. Even worse - when he's
unavailable all day for me to ask for clarification. ???

YES! Even more so when they work in government.
