he cuts an eye at her as he hears 'earth godling'. "what are my
rules on earth godlings..." his words were calm, but his eyes
were angry. the water below began to whip and crash into the
cliff almost as if reacting to his anger. before she could
answer he grabs her by the throat and dangles her over the angry
waters below. "no earth godling is to be left alive...yet you
are telling me you've crossed them more than once and the earth
godling still lives?" the sky grew dark and lightning danced
behind the shadowed clouds.

Rika sighed and laid out her hands attempting to sate his anger.
She winced as she was grabbed, but didn't struggle much as he
held her over the water. [Color=mediumpurple]"You know I know
the rules. I've crossed paths twice. The first go I got the
sample to determine what kind of godling she was. The second
meeting I infused her with one of my concoctions. I went heavy
on my blood and it'll drive her to insanity within a day or two.
She'll likely end her own life without me having to have had to
physically do it myself. I took measures to make sure the
crystal causing her energy and mind to run rampant was basically
impossible to remove. I follow your rules Roran...I just use my
methods."

he stares at her, giving no reply to her response. his crimson
eye seemed to almost glow brighter until it finally dimmed
"you'd better be right Rika" he says. the crashing waves below
soothed and the form of something massive could be seen swimming
below the surface. "you are a goddess of knowledge so lay some
on me...why go to port sheiva" he ask. still holding her over
the cliff. It was obvious he knew why they were there.

As he stared at her Rika hung there fairly limp. If he decided
to throw her to the shape below, well she already had
contingencies. She sighed as he seemingly questioned her
methods. [Color=mediumpurple]"It's not like I didn't up the
dose of my own dark chaotic energy by a factor of 4 for the
earth godlings gift. Nor did I simply attach it to her. It's
in her blood....or her heart if it re-solidified. In fact I
wouldn't be surprised if she was already
hallucinating."[/color]. She said with an air of irratation.
It's not like she hadn't been doing his bidding long enough that
he shouldn't trust her methods.
As he questioned Port Shiva the goddess's eyes matched the
coldness in his eyes. She didn't usually talk back unless it
was a thing of pride. [Color=mediumpurple]"You know I think
it's insulting when you ask me to relay information you already
know. I'm a goddess of knowledge and I don't appreciate being
tested. Of you speak of the godlings they likely went to gather
a force against you, or look for a way to stop you. All
godlings willing to live in the open either do that or seek to
join you. If you speak of me, I went to deliver the gift to the
earth godling and collect a bit more data. Once I was sure it
was an earth godling I had run into."

A smirk crosses Rorans face. not many could or would get away
with talking to him how she did...but they went back. he places
her on the ground and crosses his arms "you knowledge deities
with your pride and what not. you know what they say. 'pride
will cost you everything...and leave you with nothing' but I
guess the same thing can be said of me...earth godlings get
under my skin. they say that everything begins with water and
air and that land arrived by breaking the sea and splitting sky.
you know what that means to me? i'm pretty sure you do" he pats
her head "what would you like Rika. let's call it an apology and
a reward for the information laid before me"

As he put her down her eyes returned to normal and Ren floated
back over to her. As he posed the rhetorical question she
merely nodded. She certainly had a good idea of what it meant
to him. As he patted her head and offered a reward her eyes
sparkled. [Color=mediumpurple]"Oh? Hmm what do I want. Well
I'd settle for a test subject as exciting as one of the
godlings."

She frowns softly as she thinks of another way to put the
request. [Color=mediumpurple]"Hmm.......I want someone who isn't
just going to break. Someone who might be able to stand up to a
few rounds of expirements."

Rika's eyes sparkled at the choices. "Either would be fine.
Both should stand up to what I would want them for. A godling
of rage might be more entertaining." She giggled lightly
