a side." Dante looked up at the sky. "I didn't want to fight any
of you, not you and not even Roran. Why did you join him Rika?"

Rika steepled her fingers as Dante spoke. She was silent, her
gaze intense and serious. Shhe paused to sip her tea before
turning her Bright eyes to Dante. It was the look the goddess
got when she was either serious or very interested in a topic.
[Color=mediumpurple]"And now it is of interest. That means
you've decided on becoming more than a passive observer. Do you
truly want to know? Even if the reasons would not be ones you
wish to hear?[/color]. The question was posed to the goddess of
wind. There was no malice, Rika seemed as if she just needed
Dante to be sure of her wish for knowledge of her choice.

"Yes, if I am going to be fighting you then I want to know why
you aligned yourself to his side." she cut into her cake and
took a bite. While she knew the answer wouldn't change either of
their sides she still wanted to know, to understand the others
view point.

Picking up a second strawberry cake the goddess gave a small
nod. "if you truly want to know...my reasons were entirely self
centered." She paused to take another bite of cake and look up
at the sky.
"I was bored in the realm of knowledge. Even i can only spend
so much time reading. I wished to find knowledge that was not
yet known. I knew siding with whom i did would allow me
to....experiment with some ideas. I stumbled across some
references to lost knowledge...lost arts. Knowledge that would
not be looked at in a kind light. With Roran, I am allowed to
do what i please without anyone questioning me. As long as I
play my role as tactician Ren and I can continue to seek new
answers." she shrugged taking another bite. "If i had observed
or gone against him, the chances of seeking my answers wouldn't
have been as sure."

"I see." Dante nodded, she wasn't surprised that the other girls
entire reason was centered on her own desires she'd known many
gods and goddesses that catered to their own selves and she
herself tended to be one of them as well. "Sometimes I wonder
why I bothered to come down here from hiding. It's been mostly
troublesome since I joined up with the godlings." she finished
her tea and poured herself another cup.
"All of you were either dead, gone with Roran or in hiding like
myself. It was lonely and without purpose...finding Mizuki and
traveling with the others, watching them grow and train into
their powers. It's nice even though at times I can't stand the
thought of them using powers that once belonged to our fallen
friends and comrades." she shrugged halfheartedly. "I can't
begrudge you following your own selfish reasons to sate
curiosity since I am following my own curious trail."

Rika smiled as Dante described her own curiosities. She put her
chin on her fingers and nodded. [Color=mediumpurple]"Even a
good isn't meant to spend forever alone....and our forever is
longer than most. As for them using the abilities of fallen
friends....try to think of it as a gift left behind by them to
be remembered. Who knows maybe they are even there in spirit."

She nodded "I suppose. It is nicer to think of it that way."
With a soft sigh she quietly drank her tea. "I just hope they'll
become strong enough to handle the trials ahead and learn to
further work together."

hope for your sake, and my own amusement, that they do as well.
It's mean to just pick on a bunch of lost kids"[/color]. She
said with a team in her eye.

Dante smirked "I'm sure it isn't that much of a hardship on your
part to pick on them." she teased, setting her cup down once she
finished her tea. "As lovely as this chat has been I must get
back to the kids. Perhaps we'll have another tea time to speak
again." she stood up.

if I'm around and you can probably contact me if you really
needed too. We shall chat again another time. I also have
people to see."[/color]. She made a motion and the tea set
disappeared.
