"suit yourself" Menka says and turns over. just as he was about
to sleep he hears a knock at the door. "and I see how the girls
felt now.." he says with a yawn and goes to answer the door.
"yes?" he says. kind of surprised to see Dante.

"Just got back so I'm checking in on everyone before I head to

"oh that's sweet of you" he joked. "Solomon and Vadiin are
sleep....Leyin too I think" he looks over at Leyin. "I'll be
heading to bed myself. once everyone is rested we can make a
plan for tomorrow. we'll also have to fill in Kiirion"

"Not sleep." the wicker basket said from the corner of the room.
The lid popped off and Leyin crawled out. "A bit bothered about
all of the events that went on... and even more bothered that
that's bothering me. I normally never have a problem going to
sleep." Leyin paused for a moment. "You weren't in the other
room the whole time, were you?"

"It has been pretty eventful for all of you." she agreed and ran
a hand through her hair. "No, I was out for a meeting. Mizuki's
temp seems to have calmed down now but Sayomi seems to be still
suffering from todays altercation. If we're going to be facing a
council her powers will need to be reigned in."

Leyin nodded. "Menka and I have been trying to figure out how to
cure Sayomi. Menka things we can get rid of it like you would do
with a disease, but we need a pure sample of Sayomi's blood, and
that may be hard to come by right now." Leyin said. "I have a
question." Leyin continued. "I've been trying to figure out why
Rika is acting the way she is. There was nothing in books that
talked about her being evil or ever having ill-intent. As you
are a god yourself, would you happen to have an idea why she
would act like this. You'd think she would've gotten board by
now or something."

Dante looked a tad surprised at the question "Well you can't
believe books all the time." she said with a halfhearted shrug.
"Whatever Roran is offering to let her pursue her interests is
enough for her to continue down the path she's on. In my eyes it
really isn't evil, a bit annoying I guess but I can't fault her
for following the path that sates her curiosity. We're much
older beings, curiosity and boredom are easy drives for us."
"Boredom would be my entire reason for leaving my realm, and
curiosity keeps me with you all, not really a burning desire to
do good or help the unfortunate. Even Roran isn't really evil to
me despite all he's done." she explained and smiled. "Power,
mayhem, knowledge, control it helps drive away the countless
centuries of boredom and our stagnant existence. We are petty,
childish and driven with blood lust, powerful creatures ready to
do anything to serve ourselves. Roran gives Rika freedom to
pursue her interests, she'd probably easily turn to another
source if he suddenly found reason to stop her."

Menka found it hard to disagree with what Dante said. But at the
same time the mortal side of him saw Roran as pure evil. "your
point is valid I suppose...at least thats what my mind
believes...my heart on the other hand" he touches his chest

Leyin nodded. "I understand. With you all being here for so much
longer, things must really be seen in a different light... but
still. If that's the case, then maybe..." He trailed off, not
wanting to continue in fear of possibly offending the goddess.
"Oh, so she can be swayed. Hm if only we had a way of changing
her mind."
"Hey." a gruff voice said from another corner of the room. "You
ever wonder what would happen if you tried smelting humans with
weapons?"
Leyin jumped in shock. "N-no!?"
"Well that girl might. And unless you are ready to let her try
something like that as long as she helps, I doubt she'd be
swayed." Vadiin said into the floor.
"...oh..." Leyin said quietly.
"Now, could all of you kindly SHUT THE HELL UP so I can get some
BURNING SLEEP!?" Vadiin hit his fist on the floor and the entire
room shook. "That include you Windy." Said to the floor.

Dante chuckled "Fine, fine I'll take my leave so prince Vadiin
can get his beauty sleep." she teased and stepped away from the
door. "Good night!" she said cheerfully and took her leave.
