Vadiin thought for a moment. "I don't usually deal with
gemstones directly, but I suppose I could take a look at it." he
thought for a second. After a moment, he jumped in the water
next to TeaPot and wrapped one arm around her waist while taking
her other arm with his hand.
"Sorry TeaPots, Figure I might as well examine it now. ... Wow,
it's like a hot spring around you.... but only around you." he
said, noticing that his legs were a slight bit cooler... no, a
LOT bit cooler. "Okay, let's make this quick."
He tapped the crystal a couple of times. It didn't appear to be
hollow. He traced where the crystal and skin met. "Wow, that's
actually kind of impressive. It's welded to your skin. That
usually takes a while, and it'd have to be pretty hot for that
to happen, even with most magical stones, it takes some amount
of heat." He looked her in the eyes and asked. "You can't
seriously tell me you had no ideas this was happening."

Mizuki frowned "My mind was focused on a few other things at the
time. I assumed it was the heat of battle and adrenaline that
upped my body temperature." She replied and looked at the gem.
"It seemed okay til the heat became unbearable and I realized my
powers had been swapped..."

Vadiin placed a hand directly on the gem. If his skin wasn't as
thick as it was, he most likely might have burned himself. "Yeah
it's pretty hot. Hmm. I know that kid had something to do with
it."
Vadiin thought for a second. "What do you mean your powers got
swapped? You can control fire now?"
He grimaced inwardly as although she was warm, everything else
was still below freezing. He'd have to hightail it to an inn as
soon as he let go.

As Vadiin jumped in, Menka created a stopwatch to time how long
Vadiin could be in the water. If his calculations were
correctly, he didn't have much longer. the thought of not being
able to help Mitsuki was starting to get to Menka. he bites his
thumbnail as he thinks and times Vadiin

after a few directions...and rumors about a fight breaking out.
Solomon finally found everyone "what the hell happened over
here" he looks at the guard captain, who didn't hide the fact he
was eyeing him back.

Vadiin couldn't stand it any longer. "You're on your own
sweetheart. I'm out." He quickly let go and moved as fast as he
could to the dock. This is when he realized that there wasn't
much to grab hold of.
"SH*T!! " He looked up at the bookworm. "Mind givin' me a hand?"

Mizuki tilted her head and watched him struggle to get back on
land. She shook her head and moved to a cooler section in the
water to dunk her head. "Do you think we'll be able to find any
information on this? Taking it off with force won't work but
maybe I can overload it and cause it to shatter? But that might
cause problems too." she sighed.

"I take it you're with them, if you're asking that kind of
question... they had a run in with one of Rikas little minions.
From what I saw, it placed some kind of object on the girl who
then turned into a fireball and was tossed in the water by the
burly man" as weird as the story got, the captain said it with
the straightest of faces. " the names Aldon Greaves"
Menka creates a rope ladder and throws it over the edge for
Vadiin to grab "overloading it seems like our best shot, getting
any information on this maybe kind of hard. Rika seems like one
of the types to keep her notes very close"

Vadiin quickly grabbed the rope and climbed up it as fast as he
could.
He quickly glanced at Menka with a nod and bolted off in the
direction of what he assumed were the inns... or any large oven.
Either would do nicely at this point.
