Dante looked around "Wow and I thought the other areas were
confusing to navigate. This is a maze...you know exactly where
the books are, right?" she asked trying to figure out where
they'd need to start.

"I wouldnt lead us into a maze without knowing exactly where the
prize was" he says with a scoff and starts to walk. The air of
the archives was thick with the smell of dirt and parchment
which fit most of the books on the shelves. some were covered in
dirt, others damaged from being sunken.....and some stained in
blood.

"Hey just checking." she said and stuck her tongue out at his
back. She followed him, running her fingers along some of the
books, frowning when she came across the bloodied ones.

they traveled nor nearly an hour before Menka finally stopped.
"not good" he says in a hushed voice. ahead of them, shelves
were knocked over and covered in spiderwebs. "stupid
sentries...stupid spiders"

Dante stepped out from behind him and headed towards the shelves
"Hmm we can get through this." she said determinedly.

As she stepped forward, her ankle catches a single thread of
spiderweb and snaps it.
"We can probably climb it....then again its covered in
spiderwebs and that would be very bad to touch. A single touch
of that spider thread would send alarms off to everyone of those
eight legged sons of......" he takes a breath and smiles "i
reeeeeally hate spiders."

She felt something snap against her ankle and looked down, "I'm
sure the spiders aren't that bad." with a grin she summoned her
halbred and twirled it "Better to face your fears now than
later."

"you haven"t seen these spiders. they're around ten feet tall
with a thick exo skeleton that makes it hard to penetrate them.
then don get me started on the...wait....what?" he looked at her
in confusion. the piercing screeches off what could only have
been the so said spiders. "we have to run" he says and climbs
the overturned book cases.

Menka shook his head and somehow ended up smiling. This goddess
was toxic. Once over the pile, the path was pretty clear. Menka
takes off in a jog down the labyrinth like isles. Out of nowhere
one of the cases on the left of them explodes. Nearly knocking
menka off his feet. He quickly rights himself. And picks up the
pace. Dante would see the silhouette of a giant spiders leg
disappearing into the shadows of the book cases
