       Is It Going To Be An Early Fall??

       I am wondering if it is going to be an early fall and just what
       kind of weather we can expect this year!!!  The last several
       years have been soft on us for the most part in snow, ice and
       rain.... it makes one realize how close we as Canadians and
       Americans could come to a drought position.... With fires raging
       out of control and no rain to feed our crops it would not take
       many months or years to produce a situtation we would not want
       here!!!
       Our trees are dying, every year I notice more and more trees
       that have passed on throughout the bushes in my travels.... I
       notice more places with sandy, dry soil, grass that has to be
       reseeded... birds that arrive ealier and stay later even when
       one tries to help by slowly stopping the free feed... bugs (ants
       seem to be abounding across our province like never before)
       As much as I hate to admit it the winter (snow) has great
       benefits for all of us!! The cold helps to kill off some
       bacterias, the snow gives the land well needed water in the
       spring and gives the plants a chance to lay dormant for a few
       months...
       Anyway, here we are at almost the end of August and it reminds
       me more of the end of summer I had as a child... we tried to
       drag it out by wearing shorts into the first week of school, but
       for most of us that was just a little too cold.... now, you see
       people in shorts up to Nov... and even Dec.... but, I wonder
       what this year has to hold... I don't think a lot of our trees
       could survive very many more no snow seasons... check out the
       maple syrup and the peaches and apples this year.... it says a
       lot!!!
       Anyway, today is sunny and going to be a warm one!!!  I am off
       to see if I can find the elusive wild grapes (raisins I be
       making with them if I can find them lol)
