       Rickyl Scenes

What are some of your favorite Rickyl scenes?
I'm curious to get a sense of what the iconic Rickyl scenes are
for the group. It's been awhile since I've watched the earlier
seasons especially, and I'm fairly new to the 'ship. I haven't
had much time to rewatch the series with my Rickyl goggles on
(but that is definitely a thing on my must-do list), but I could
definitely find some time to skim through those particularly
       swoon-worthy Rickyl scenes.

Well... there are so many of them for me I can't really decide
which one I like best... I can give you the most recent one,
though. It was in Alexandria (too lazy to look at which episode
it was in, I can check it if you want me to) when Rick comes in
on the Alexandrians threatening Eugene, because he peeped in on
their plans. Rick takes the man's gun and points it at him,
actually ready to shoot him, but Daryl interferes with his quiet
"Rick" ^^ Oh! There's another one - when Rick got ambushed in
the RV when they were luring the walkers away from Alexandria.
There are gunshots Daryl hears through the radio and he stops
his bike and starts calling Rick. The way Daryl's whole body
coils when he barks out Rick's name is giving me life <3

There are so many to choose from! I'm particularly fond of the
early seasons, but that's probably because I've just watched
them so much. Some of my favorites are...
       - Vatos Episode. There's so much eye-sex in that episode, but I
really like that when Daryl gets in the face of the kid from the
gang, Rick pulls him back and I feel like Daryl PRETENDS he's
fighting it, but he's not and there is an underlying sense of
silent communication that really jump-starts the relationship
       for me.
       - Better Angels. The "no need for you to do all the heavy
lifting" is classic (there's a fic by thelongcon called "First,
Second, and Third Impressions" that deals with that moment and
       it's beautiful.
       - Sick. When Rick and Daryl are walking in the hallways after
Mr. Prisoner Guy goes psycho and Rick says "he makes one move,"
it's just perfect. The way their bodies work together, how Daryl
is angled to Rick, how sexy Daryl is, how focused Rick
       is...perfection!
There are plenty of others, but those are some of my favorites.
       :)

I just love the scene in "A" when Rick has the gun to his head
and Daryl walks out of the shadows. The looks on their faces
just scream "oh god I'm in love with you and we might both die
right now" and it kicks me right in the feels. Also, Daryl
literally tells them to kill him instead of Rick and if that's
not love then IDK what is.

Oh yes, that's one of my favorites -- so much so that I wrote a
       fic about it. It's "Ready"

And of course I love the one Norman says is his favorite too:
Daryl and Rick by the car in that same episode, after Joe and
everyone is dead and Rick's hands are shaking from adrenaline.
That's when he tells Daryl "you're my brother." (and he meant so
       much more!)
I also love in Chupacabra, when Andrea has shot Daryl and Rick
and Shane are carrying him to the house, Daryl unconscious, but
his body is angled more toward Rick and his head is on Rick's
       shoulder. Sigh

'You're my brother', and a fairly recent one, when they're
working on the route they plan to herd the walkers from the
quarry along. Daryl is carting something back and forth in a
wheelbarrow, and he stops to talk to Rick and convince him that
continuing to recruit new people is in their best interest. He
makes his point so quietly, no fuss, and then he says: "Your
call", and what he really says is 'I trust you to make the right
decision'. Love that moment so much.

These are all so good! I'm making a list of scenes to rewatch.
       Please keep them coming! :)
