Shane Walsh. The very definition of a problematic fave. Yes, he
was a jackass and he tried to kill Rick and there was the Lori
CDC thing as well and he went completely crazycakes. But I still
love him. There, I said it.
My name is skarlatha, and I've been a Shane lover since November
2014 (which was when I started watching the show).

You know, I'm currently rewatching s2 because my sister got into
the series and of course I watch it with her and laugh about her
theories (SHE THOUGHT SOPHIA WAS ENID because she watched 6a
with me to see if she'd like it and surprise!! She did SO SHE
WAS LIKE "CHILL DARYL YOU'RE GONNA FIND HER-- SHE MAY BE IN
ALEXANDRIA and when she appeared she was like ???? NO???) and
she hates him, as well as my best friend does. And I always
loved him because he understood since the beginning what Rick
understood in s3 or s4 with the Governor. They have to kill to
survive, and Rick was all "we don't kill the living" until
everything went to shit.
Shane did a lot of things wrong, killing Otis, threathening Dale
and stuff, but he understood this new world long before they all
did. This world's gonna need Rick Grimes, but this world is made
for people like Shane Walsh.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I love Shane, but I think he was
an interesting character that I would've liked to see more of.
Would he have gone over to the dark side, so to speak, or would
he have redeemed himself somehow if he'd lived?
