       Police Radio Codes

       Here are the ten codes to use as a Police Officer:
       10-4: affirmative. (You may also hear the term "direct")
       10-7: Out of service. Has many uses, often tiems used to advise
       that a person is dead/unrevivable or that a vehicle may not be
       working.
       10-8: In service or back in service. Ex: 1adam3 to dispatch I'll
       be 10-24, 10-8 NR [Please abbreviations below)
       10-17:Enroute. (Then specify code1,code2, or code3)
       10-20: Location. Ex: 1adam3, whats your 20?
       10-21: Public service or phone call. Ex: 1adam3 10-21 me when
       possible.
       10-22: Disregard
       10-23: On the scene
       10-24: Assignment complete
       10-25: Meet. Ex: 1adam3, 10-25 with me at the pva of Cluckin'
       Bell
       10-27: OLN, or license check.EX: Dispatch, I have a 10-27, when
       you're prepared.
       10-28: Vehicle License Plate. EX: Dispatch, 10-28 is LCP_5849,
       LCP_5849.
       10-29: Check for warrants, OFAs, etc. EX: Dispatch, check
       10-29's on a John Smith subject out of Schottler.
       (Note that often times 10-27 and 10-28 are used together) EX:
       Dispatch 10-27,29 check on [license number or name&DOB]
       10-33: Emergency/officer needs immediate backup.
       10-40: fight. (then specify number of persons involved, weapons
       etc.)
       10-41: Beginning shift
       10-42: End of shift
       10-50: Motor vehicle accident, MVA. (Then specify if PD only, or
       PI which is Possible injury, or F for fire.)
       10-56: Intoxicated driver/ subject
       10-60: Suspicious vehicle
       10-61: Vehicle stop. Ex: "1adam3, 10-61" / "1adam3, go ahead."/
       "61 with LCP_5849, LCP_5849, be on Frankfort avenue, occupied
       two times."
       10-62: foot/vehicle pursuit, however common language is advised
       for this or any emergency situation.
       10-72: Person in custody
       10-73: Mental subject
       10-74: active warrant
       10-96: Suicide/attempted suicide. Always use this ten code.
       10-104: attending personal matters. (Your either taking a dump
       or in the gym)
       10-105: Investigations, or obtaining information. Ex: 1adam3 to
       dispatch, I'll be out at Cluckin Bell reference 10-105.
       Signal 8: meal break. Always specify where.
       Abbreviations/miscellaneous:
       Many PDs like to use names as opposed to the military alphabet.
       Instead of reading a 10-28 as Lima, Charlie, Papa 5849. You'll
       often hear Lincoln, Charles, Paul. or Tom, Edwrad, Robert...
       Here are some common ones:
       NR: Nora, Robert (No report) used after 10-8
       CI: Charles, Ida (Citation issued, specify how many) used after
       10-8
