Ohai yeah, this topic is about, the type of server we are
making, well if you got any suggestions or idea for the in-game
there isa topic for that already(Big up to Tom for scripting)...
But this topic about the general stuffs like the rules, the
server type etc.. anyway, feel free to post what do you think we
should do and we will all come to a conclusion together, it's
just a way to try to avoid comunity corruptions, powerhungry
fags and all well it's basicly like what it's said in this topic
HTML http://revoproject.createaforum.com/general-discussion/what/
anyway we are just trying to have fun and keep things balanced.
Feel free to post what ever you got in mind that YOU think would
be the best to do.

Yeah, I think we should talk about weather the server should be
tilted more towards roleplay or towards freeroam with roleplay
being more optional. And another topic up for debate would be if
we should use whole SA for everything or just use one city and
the surrounding area so that things are closer together and
ofcourse whole SA is unlocked for exploring, events and such
things :)

Good, shit does need to be discussed :P
I'd like the server to be a classic Roleplay server, though as
I've mentioned in a few other posts, a 'lite' roleplay.
Traditional Roleplaying usually just throws you into the world
by the same means as every other player, and you are required to
make-believe and pretend to be the type of person you've
described yourself as. Most of the time, your words, are your
actions. -- I'd like to keep it simple, where your actions are
your actions and your words are your words, nothing more.
Example: I'm not exactly up-to-date on the most popular Roleplay
servers anymore, but from the past 5 years of playing, I
remember always running into some sort of ridiculous text-based
system of roleplay. The Succeed / Fail system, which is reliant
on the other player and more often than not is completely
biased, or even just the /me system (when governing an action),
which one player immediately complains to an administrator about
being unrealistic; really, any text-based, player-decisive
roleplay in general.
Yes, these servers obviously work and gather a lot of players,
though as much as it tries to be realistic, it's doing the
opposite in the regards of gameplay. The reliance on similar
imagination via both players, and the massive amount of rules
needbe layed out by the creator in a 30 minute long tutorial...
...
My goal is to keep the need for text to represent your actions
as a minimum. To have the gameplay represent something of a
Singleplayer game, except non-linear, and with multiple people
playing with you.
-I hope that all makes sense

Also, for the sake of early gameplay with fewer players, the
whole world will be open, though most stuff will be focused on
in Los Santos, the most diverse city of the bunch. This could
always be changed in the future though.

So basically, there is an OOC and IC chat, differentiated in the
main chat and everything, right?
(Oh, if needed, I can be of some help as a mapper, but quite
busy IRL)

In regards to communication;
I'll try and create an extremely simple chat system.
-Regular uncommanded chat will be localized to use as IC chat.
-Pressing '2' (Submission) will change your chat from OOC to IC
and back, assuming you are in a position where the Submission
key is not also used.
--Character name color will appear as the color of your
organization, or other importance.
--Depending on which is found to be more convenient, the 2
Submission key could be used to cycle through all forms of IG
chat.
---/me, /shout, /local, /whisper, /ooc.
As always, please let me know if you have another idea :P

That's actually pretty nice, I never got that through on eLg,
sadly.
Also, if it's lite roleplay, I'm guessing there's a hint of
freeroam, but not too much, right?
(Eg: crashing into a plane with a sandking and going to a PnS to
fix)

Yessir. Not quite as much as eLg or SkR, but you will definitely
not feel as confined, restricted or withheld as Strict RP
servers seem.
A hint of freeroam indeed.
I've never actually thought about car repair before..

Me too I am thinking that the rejected ones from eLg would love
this ;D
let me just add that I personally think that we should NOT add a
clan to the comunity because it causes too much fights and
bounchof idiots starting to spam just because they got declined
well there might bee a way to avoid that problem but I don't
know.. What do you guys think?
