The Adventure Of The Two Robins
2008
[Raw and Unedited]

Pine, the father of three very young robins , was
standing
on an elm tree when he heard the desperate cry of his mate. It
was dark
out and he could barely see to fly. Finally, he had gotten to
the pine tree,
where his mate was flying frantically around it. Something was
very wrong.
Fear came into his body as he saw that his nest was gone! He saw
one of his hatchlings dead, on the ground, blood on his wing
with needles in his body. Pine couldn’t bear to look at
his dead son. Instead, he looked for the other two. He strained
to hear the soft peep of his chicks. Nothing. “What shall
we do?” Asked pines mate. Pine had no answer. He just sat
where the nest used to be, and wept silently.
“Groan.” Lucky, the youngest of the
other two robins,
was stretched out on cold rock. “Hi!” Said a pretty
young dove about his age. Her voice startled him. Lucky stared
at her puzzled. Where am I? Where is my family? What am I doing
here? He thought. He had so many questions! But before he could
say anything, the young dove said, ”You’re finally
awake! When we heard there was going to be some new arrivals, we
didn’t know they were going to be injured! Oh! I’m
sorry! I got a little carried away! My name is carnation. I got
it from my Mum’s carnation-colored cheeks.”
“Lucky” He mumbled, more confused than ever. What
did she mean by new arrivals? Was he injured?
“Um….Your brother isn’t too good.”
Carnation said to him. “My brother!” Lucky cried.
“He’s over there.” Said Carnation softly,
pointing her head behind her. Lucky painfully staggered toward
the direction which Carnation was pointing. Sure enough, his
brother was there, in pain and wounded. Beside him, there was a
cardinal, older than Carnation and Lucky. The cardinal
didn’t have much crest and he was brown with a very faint
black mask. His brother was faintly breathing and the cardinal
was pressing borage leaves on his wound to stop the bleeding.
“That’s flame crest.” Carnation explained.
He’s good with wounds. “Maybe you should go see if
he needs any help. His wounds don’t look so good.”
Journey Through the Mountain
2009
[Raw and Unedited]
Spritz ran blindly in the volcano, the heat watering his eyes, and
his breath heavy. He felt his fur burning, and he panicked nearly
running through the geyser that steamed inches from his nose.He
skidded to a halt, until the geyser went back down, leaping onto
the over hanging rock.
Then, lava flooded around him,not high enough to reach
Spritz.Spritz imagined himself being roasted alive, and he took
one daring move.He closed his eyes, and leaped onto the higher
cliff. The lava bubbled under him,and Spritz slammed into the
cliff, knocking the wind clean out of him.
Spritz scrabbled on the cliff, dangling helplessly of the
edge. His claws slowly slid off,and he fell, down into the boiling
lava, which would lead to the painful melting and
burning."AHHHHHHHH"
Spritz gasped, opening his eyes to see himself back at his own
cave.He felt all over.He was alive, and it had only been a
dream. It was cold in the cave, and crystals were begining to grow
off the walls. He shuddered slightly, and stiffly began to get
up.The dream was so REAL,and he could still feel the heat on
him.
Spritz shook his dream away, and collapsed on the floor, putting
his paws over his head.He had been having this dream more
often, and he just wanted to close his eyes and wash all his
thoughts away.Of course,that never happens.
"Hey Spritz,Spritz!Are you up yet?"Spritz jolted upright,and
padded out of the cave, the glaring sun blinding him for a few
moments. When he could finally see again,Star was washing her
blue pelt.
Star grinned and looked him up and down.He really did look
bedraggled."What happened to you?"She asked,concerned.Spritz
shook his head."Nothing...A dream."He stalked off a few
yards,and Star watched him,not convinced.She dropped the
subject. She would press him later.
Spritz thought he heard a distant swooping, but he couldn't be
sure.Slowly his dream faded, hanging on by a thread. But as Spritz
struggled to forget,Star had been watching his every move. She
still was going to find out what was wrong. And she was also
going to figure out his dream.
A dark shadow rippled in the thick undergrowth, visible by the
slightest hint. But it was enough for Spritz to call out a
warning."Star! Watch out!"
Star was so startled by his urgent tone she fell back, and the
scaly flying reptile flew right past her nose.It was a sheer
luck that Star had avoided the deadly claws and beak, and was
still recovering from shock. She eventually got her voice
back."W-What?S-Spritz?"
Spritz gasped in relief."Im here!"He called and bounded up to
her.Star looked at him confused and said,"What WAS that thing?A
dinosaur?"Spritz shook his head."Dinosaurs are extinct." Star
right then felt like smacking him."Well if dinosaurs are
extinct, what was that thing?!" She shouted, outraged.
Spritz fell back, surprised by her tone.Very unlike Star.Spritz
decided that she had just received a life-threatening shock. He
edged closer and licked her head in comfort and affection.
Star was frozen under his surprising touch. She forgot everything
and in a second it was over, and she looked down at her paws.
Spritz drew back and peered anxiously around,as if expecting
another of those bird-things to come out.As it turns out,the
bird-things were all around them, regrouping, lurking in every
shadow, and waiting for a chance to strike. They knew where they
were.
Spritz looked nervously at the shadows, and he saw a few of those
shadows move.He knew they would follow them everywhere. They knew
where they lived. He broke the news out to Star, and after some
arguings,it was agreed that they must move,to a safe place where
no monsters were. But getting there was the hard part.
Spritz glanced at Star, who was shivering from the cold rain that
sailed down from the dark storm clouds. Her fur was plastered
with mud and her eyes were dulled.Spritz couldn't believe he had
convinced Star to leave her nice warm den and join him, trudging
up the rocky hill with hungry bird-things behind them, waiting
for a chance to prey upon them.
Star squinted as the rain stung her eyes. The winds picked up,but
luckily, being smaller,Spritz sheilded her from it.The top of the
hill seemed so far away. But as they walked, the distance became
smaller and smaller, until it was only a few feet away.
Spritz barely payed attention her when Star happily sprinted to
the top and urged him on.But then he broke out of his thoughts
and saw the rest of the world, unlike anything they had ever seen
before. The silence seemed to carry on,until Star
whispered,"Wow."
'Wow' was an understatement. They could see as far as the eye can
see.Dark,thick forests,and stony,high mountains all around.Past
the huge forests were scraggly, rough plains, which was wild and
barren with jags of rock sticking out of places. And way in the
distance,surrounded by fog,was the volcano,in Spritz's dreams.
Star saw Spritz stare horror-stricken at the massive volcano, its
lava flowing slow and smooth into a canyon."Spritz?"Star
asked. No answer came from Spritz, and she moved closer, her fur
touching his.She tentatively gave his cheek a lick, and that
seemed to snap him back into reality.
Spritz looked at Star, and said,"Its sunset. We should find
shelter."Star nodded and followed him. After an hour of
searching, they settled into a crevice in a rock.Spritz layed his
head on his paws, and Star curled up,her tail brushing her nose.
Somehow they managed to get some sleep.Spritz was feeling
refreshed,he wasn't taunted by his dream for once.He leaped out
of the crevice with a bound of energy and stretched, feeling the
sun on his fur.
Star came out of the opening and smiled."Good morning Spritz. You
look cheerful."And with that she jumped ahead and
ran, laughing.Spritz followed, being happier than he had for a
long time.
As the two partners stepped into the forest,a dark mist seemed
to engulf them.It was eerie, and the shadows seemed to be
moving,much to Spritz's discomfort.He had a feeling they were
being watched.He stopped.
Star walked over closer to Spritz."What is it?"She
whispered.Spritz shook his head."I don't know...I have a feeling
that we are"A twig snapped behind them and Spritz spun around
and clamped his jaws into something soft."Being followed."He
finished.
Spritz dropped the big animal to the ground. It cowered beneath
him."P-P-Please sir.Let me go!I won't follow you!" Spritz looked
at a young male thylacine, the same species as Star.He
growled."And how am I supposed to trust you? What is your name?"
The young thylacine replied."L-Lytai,sir.Im Lytai."Spritz nodded
and said,"Well,Lytai,I will let you go...But the next time I
find you-"He was cut off by Star when she whispered into his
ear.Spritz growled and whispered something back,and finally,it
was settled.
While Lytai waited for himself to be dismissed,or punished,he
was startled to see the Spritz in front of him.
As much Spritz hated this,he saw Star's stare, and he went ahead
and said,"Join us.We would like to welcome you into this
group. We insist."Spritz hoped with all his heart Lytai would
refuse. He just wanted to be alone with Star.
Lytai blinked,jaw gaping,surprised."Wh-What?Join?"He looked a
little nervous,and exited,and said,"Yeah,sure!I m-mean if thats
okay."
Star nodded"Yes! We will give you warm welcomes, but the road
will be dangerous.Lytai's eyes flickered with fear for a
moment,but he nodded.
Spritz felt llike he was going to faint. His good day was
gone, and replaced by horror. Why had Star wanted this stranger
with us?Spritz wondered.Then with a jolt,he thought,What if Star
doesn't like me?Maybe she hates me because shes a thylacine and
im not...
Spritz noticed the others watching him,and he ran off.He ignored
Star when she called after him.He sat down and began to sob to
himself.Star doesn't want me...She wants that...THALACINE!He
thought bitterly. He then realized his true feelings."Well,I
can't tell her now."And he realized he talked outloud.
"Stay here!"Star shouted at Lytai and she looked for Spritz. She
saw him looking depresse, and angry, and hurt. She made her way
over to him and sat down. They didn't say anything for a long
time.
Star wished Spritz would tell her what was wrong. Then she
remembered the way he acted with Lytai. She buried her nose into
his fur for comfort."Its okay,Spritz.Lets go back."To her relief
Spritz nodded and together they walked back to Lytai.
Spritz was still hostile with Lytai, mainly because Star was a
thylacine too.And he felt heat bubbling inside his stomach
everytime he saw him even talk to Star.Ok,get a hold of
yourself.He thought.
Star followed Spritz,Lytai behind her.The forest was getting
deeper and darker, and who knew what lurked in the
undergrowth. She shuddered and took a pace closer to Spritz.
Lytai couldn't understand Spritz. He couldn't get why he hated
him so much.He shrugged it off and pricked his ears up
alert."Watch it!"He yelled and dived out of the way as the
bird-things's jaws clipped his fur.
Star dropped down just as she spotted the ugly birds with
leathery wings. To her relief the others made it.
Spritz looked up at the big bird-things that perched on top of
the highest branches.Spritz warily looked around."We have a long
way to go."Spritz muttered.
The thick forest got lighter as Star walked through the
trees. Then, expecting more forest,a bright opening in the
forest, blinding them after the trek in the dark forests. In front
of them was the plains, and in it intimidating jags of
stone."Well,this is it."
Spritz was speachless. The sights of the stone, and the huge
cliffs. They were miles away from the volcano, but he could see
geysers. He shuddered. The geysers reminded him of the volcano. He
shook his head to chase away the dream and took a step forward.
Lytai followed, but stopped as a rumbling shook the earth and
tiny, brief paralizing waves shot through his
body."......Earthquake?"Spritz shook his head."No...Bigger."Star
warily took another step on the plain."Eruption?"Again they all
shook their head."But...What else could it be?"Lytai asked. But
then,he regreted those words.
"This is bad."Spritz muttered as the rumblings started
again. They all turn around and ran back to the forest. But before
they could reach the shelter of the trees, the big bird-things
blocked them,cackling evily.
The rumblings stopped. All at once they slowly turned their
heads...
"Lytai."Spritz breathed."I think we should call the bird-things
terrordactles."Star shook her head."No,pterodactyls.You spelled
it wrong."
"Whatever."Spritz sighed. Right now in front of them...Was a
dinosaur, huge, deadly wicked claws that curved and was polished
to a reflective shine, scales that were so thick even Spritz's
crushing white teeth would never sink through. The hind legs were
thick with muscles, the feet was bird-like,with a terrible curved
toe that was designed to cut through flesh.
The eyes were intimidating, intelligent, seaching eyes that bore
through the minds of others. The fangs were straight and pointed
with tints of yellow, that snapped from time to time.Drool leaked
out of its mouth and it bore its teeth in a very threatining
gesture.
The Void
2009
[Last Edit: 2009]
Ben jumped off the almost-stopped train as he heard
the angry bellows of the two bald men that were chasing him.
They both had bushy eyebrows, both with thin, black beards, and
they had golden earrings. The two men were tall and muscular,
and was shouting at Ben as he ran off into the woods. Ben was
thirteen years old, with brown hair. He was slightly pale, even
though he had a tan. He tripped over a root and a big , diamond
necklace with gold and silver on it flew out of his pocket. He
quickly snatched it up and looked over his shoulder. The men
were nowhere to be seen. He stood up and continued to race in
the forest. He finally came into a small town, next to the
ocean. He ran into the nearest store and ran through the aisles.
He stopped on a bench, panting. He took out a piece of parchment
from his pocket and started reading it. It was a schedule of
ships heading for Bermuda. He circled one of them and thought
about his life back in New York, and the reason for coming to
Florida. He remembered discovering the horde that police were
after, that a group of men had. He had taken a necklace and was
now being pursued.
Ben came to a shipyard. He saw the black waves of
the sea pounding against the concrete decks. He saw sail boats
and catamarans bobbing up and down. Beautiful yachts shined in
the sun. He saw people getting on cruise ships. There was even
battleships, ready for battle. Seagulls were on buoys. He saw a
ship about to leave. He ran on board and hid, hoping nobody saw
him. He found an unlocked bunk., and it looked like it
hadn’t been used in awhile. He locked the door behind him.
Ben wished he had bought some food while he was at the store. He
looked out of a circle shaped window and saw the shore shrinking
into the distance. His stomach growled so loud he was afraid the
sailors would hear. He looked in the drawers for anything to
eat. It was empty. There was one more drawer. Ben opened it.
There was books, old and dusty. Ben forgot about his stomach as
he blew off the dust from a book he held. Peter pan. He put it
down and lifted up another book. Treasure island, his favorite.
He suddenly dropped the book and fell back to the other end of
the small cabin. He heard commands being issued as thunder
rumbled and the ship rock. Ben stood up and was knocked back
down as the floor shifted. He grabbed the window and looked out
in the middle of the ocean where giant waves struck against the
sides of the ship again and again. He let out a yelp as he was
yanked backwards and thrusted onto the floor. A bookcase he
hardly noticed, filled with china, toppled over him and a flash
of pain went through him as he crawled out. He didn’t
notice the water on the floor until it was up to his knees. Ben
thrust open the door and a wave splashed through the opening,
followed by an explosion.
Ben opened his eyes. He saw a tall shadow looming over him.
He heaved
himself up with great effort, and in front of him was a big
mast. He noticed sand under his feet. He turned his head and
gasped. A mermaid was staring at him. He didn’t move. The
mermaid was still. Ben was laughing inside himself at his
stupidity. It was a mermaid figurehead! Ben walked across the
shore and he realized that there was a jungle behind him.
Several palm trees were big and tall. Half-buried were
thousands of pirate ships, rescue boats, rowboats Viking ships
that looked centuries old, even golden boats that had treasures
inside them. Ben saw Frigates, fishing boats, jets, helicopters,
catamarans, yachts, submarines, and even a space shuttle. Ben
laid his eyes upon a tour boat. It was in good shape, and the
tour boat wasn’t even buried. Ben decided he was going to
find a town or a nearby house he could find to figure out where
he was. Ben stepped into the jungle and immediately birds flew
out like a huge cloud, and there was a strange force driving Ben
forward deeper into the jungle. He was going faster and faster,
and with a jolt, he looked down. His feet weren’t even
moving. “Help!” Ben cried as he was going even
faster. Ben helplessly kept moving forward, his arms dangling in
front of him. He couldn’t move. Ben felt his pocket
vibrate. The necklace was attracting the force! Ben thought. He
threw the necklace down. He felt himself loosen, but Ben was
still moving. An opening appeared, but it was strangely dark.
The rest of the jungle was sunny, but the opening was as darker
than the night sky. And the force was stronger. Ben hung on to a
palm tree as a circled bottomless black hole was under him. His
feet was dangling over it. He saw the necklace spinning around
the hole until it was swallowed by the vast darkness. It
immediately collapsed and Ben stopped moving. He ran to where
the tour boat was, and started the engine. As the island shrunk
from view, Ben gradually calmed down. What an adventure this had
been! He saw a manta gliding along the tour boat. Ben noticed a
small book on fish from the ocean, and flipped to the page on
manta rays. ‘With its 2o-foot wingspan, the manta is a
dark, undulating saucer.’ Ben read. He felt a strange glee
as the manta swam beside him, and disappeared beneath the waves.
Ben also saw a gps. He quickly looked up where he was. Ben
almost fainted when he finally had the answer. The Bermuda
triangle. He wanted to tell everybody about his experience with
the black hole that tried to swallow him, but he knew that
nobody would believe him. Ben woke up and saw stars above his
head. For a minute he thought he was still at the Bermuda
triangle, but then he realized he was at the port again, in the
tour boat. All was quiet except the sound of sirens. Ben stood
up and walked over to see a few police cars and cops
hand-cuffing the two men that were chasing him.
“What’s going on?” Ben asked. “These men
are under arrest for stealing valuable objects all over the
world.” A cop replied. As the two men were glaring out the
back of a police car, Ben waved. He vowed that he would NEVER,
set a foot into a ship or boat again. Ben headed towards the
store, because he was still hungry.

Thankyou! Aside from roleplay, which I do quite a lot
of, I don't write a lot of creative stories. Although, I have
lots of ideas that I've attempted to store in my brain for
whenever I get the time and motivation to write...Anyways, I
went ahead and added my most recent one. I have another from
2010 but It'll have to wait for a while. I have to post River
King here because it exceeds too many characters... :|
River King
2012
It was a rainy morning in Guangxi province as Leong Jin made
his way quickly along the dusty road alone in the countryside.
Today would be his sixth day returning along the same riverbank
with a fishing pole in hand without catching anything. The
fifteen year old had recently become fond with the possibility
of catching extra food for his family to eat since it seemed
that they were lately getting too many crops and not enough meat
most likely because Leong Jin's village were mostly harvesters
of wheat, corn, and other vegetables. Of course, they owned
chickens and a water buffalo, but aside from the eggs, they only
had real meat from time to time when they bought pigs. This year
they had been unable to get one. Jin decided that fishing would
be the best option when he had the time, but today the boy's
endeavors would bear no fruit again.
After he managed to get himself down near the water he noticed
two elderly women and a young boy from the same village washing
clothes from the nearby rocks with their sleeves rolled up and
buckets at their sides. One of the women looked up from her
chore and raised a hand in greeting. Jin waved back before
leaping nimbly on top of a pointed stone and looking out into
the water. Around the drooping branches of the trees he could
see a colored wooden boat heading down the river, probably
carrying a couple of tourists. Jin didn't favor upon the idea of
fishing with the boat in the same river, but all the same let
his line fly into the water a few times.
As expected he was unable to hook any fish. If he squinted he
could spot dark shapes out into the middle which was too far for
him to cast. By now the boat was passing him and he was able to
catch of glimpse of the blonde hair of a foreigner as he turned
from the bank and started up the slope to get back to the road
home as the elderly ladies and the boy wringing out the rags
stole a glance up at the boat as well. Something suddenly moving
caught his attention so he quickly swiveled his gaze over to the
foliage covering the area and then heard the sound of a large
animal pattering away to hide. "What's that?" He said aloud,
trying to part the bushes and get a look at it. One of the
elderly woman who had white hair and a smile on her face paused
to look at him. "You may have seen a stray dog, there are some
around here."
Jin nodded his head. "Right." He agreed.
It wasn't long before he headed back to the village. Jin lived
with his father and twin sister, Mei, in a village that was
about two miles away from the river. His mother died when he
was only six years of age so he was unable to recall her
features easily, but Yuan seemed to remember her more. Jin was
walking underneath the looming gray sky in the narrow, roadless
streets between the houses with his fishing pole slung
comfortably over his back.
Father had mentioned that he was actually pleased with him for
showing an interest in supporting the family through fishing.
Unlike cities, they had very limited amounts of electricity to
operate what few pieces of electronic technology they owned, but
because they had so much work to do they had little time for
watching television or the faulty washing machine that they
didn't use anyway. Because of this, it was a lot more practical
for Jin to fish instead of sitting around at home during his
spare time. Jin no longer attended school and his sister, Mei,
had been lucky to attend school up until the end of middle
school.
On the main street through the village everyone had to watch
out for haystacks, chickens, and other obstacles. Jin had been
careful ever since he was nearly trampled by a horse that had
escaped two summers ago. There were numerous shops dispersed in
the town and a doctor's office in the middle. He turned into one
of the alleys, which led into a massive tangling of courtyards
and paths laden with animals, tools, and firewood. After
navigating through two houses that belonged to his neighbors he
came upon his family's own home. Clothes usually hung down from
a wire attached to the wall but his sister be home and had taken
them down. The animals were in pens back behind the house and
were watched to make sure they did not escape or get stolen.
His father had never considered them moving to the big cities
because food and lodging cost twice as much as it did here, and
that they would be a thousand times worse off in the unfamiliar
lifestyle. Jin thought It was better anyway that his father
worked here rather than having to be left behind while he tried
to find work in factories. Many others had the same thoughts as
Father but it was common knowledge that one of their neighbors,
Lijuang, had worked in the village but did not want her own
daughter to follow in her footsteps. Families who lived in the
rural community tended to be very devoted to the village, but
everyone was really just trying to get by with what they had.
Jin also knew a friend from school who was left alone while his
parents worked in the city. Many children endured similar
experiences and more often than not they had to live with their
grandparents.
When he got into the dim room he greeted his sister, who was
situated inside with the newly-picked soybeans in a large bowl
and her dark hair tied up. Jin seated himself on a stool. "Is
Father helping the Han family with their plow?" He asked without
bothering to add a honorific and wiped his sweaty face with a
paper towel he found slightly wrinkled on the table. "Yes." She
replied simply, busily splitting and separating the pods of the
soybeans. It was quiet except for the work of his sister. Jin
took a piece of soybean that had fallen out and twined it in his
fingers. "I think I heard a dog when I was at the river," He
said and wondered why it struck him as prominent. "Hope it
doesn't come in the village."
The rest of the day went by as normal as usual. Jin and Mei had
both went out to the field at noon wearing straw hats and
collected eggs that their hens laid. Father came home later
looking tired and aged after spending the day working with the
plow.
The next day he was at the river again, this time later than he
had been the other days. The sky was gray and the sun was
sinking low. Jin tweaked the line on his pole, baited it, and
cast his line. It skimmed the water as it was casted and left
elegant ripples in its wake. Like the other days, aside from the
gentle sweep of the current, he could feel no tug at the line
and began to think this was really pointless. Not wanting to go
home empty-handed again, he leaned back on one of the rocks and
looked behind him. He was doubtfully wondering if the dog was
still around here. He didn't see anything though so he soon
disregarded the thought and stared down at his rod. Jin tossed
the line in different areas but no fish came.
Boredom easily overtook him and his back was getting stiff so
he reeled his line in from the water and made sure the hook was
situated on the line. Stretching lazily, he slowly walked away
from the river once again and decided that after seven days of
fishing, it was a wasted effort. Jin glanced at the bushes again
but he wasn't really expecting anything to be in there. It also
seemed that nothing was there until he looked closer and spied
the nearly idiscirmable pelt of the animal, cleverly hidden in
the darkest area. It also seemed to be aware that he had seen
it, for he saw the fur through the bushes shift as it barked at
him.
The next thing he knew, Jin was knocked over as the creature
raced under his legs and what looked to be a tail whipped out
from behind with motion blur. As it fled back into the foliage
it let out a very strange noise, a twittering-whoop. Jin quickly
got to his feet to regain his stance, his dark eyes darting
tensely along the thick tangle of foliage until he saw the
creature's wolfish maw appear, its whiskers touching the ground.
It's white hair along its back and on its underbelly stood out
boldly from the reeds, marking its position easily. It slouched
its neck slightly, not seeming especially aggressive or
frightened, but as if it was watching his every move like a
pondering tiger. It had a stiff tail, also covered by thick fur,
that reminded him of a lizard's. The creature was closer to the
banks of the river and Jin thought he could see its tail move as
the creature peered through the stalks of brown grass and weeds.
It was the most bizarre creature that he had ever seen in his
life, and he wasn't about to wait to see if it was as dangerous
as it was odd. He took his focus off the creature to reach for a
sturdy-looking branch on the ground.
Just when Jin was reaching for it , the creature seemed to have
made up its mind. Suddenly it leapt in his direction; hardly
thinking, he grabbed the stick, rolled down the bank's shallow
slope, and into the muddy water with a great splash. The cold,
shallow water seeped through his clothes and onto his skin but
he didn't care. Lifting himself from his stomach and out from
the river, Jin's eyes wildly pinpointed the creature on the
bank, his heart pounding from adrenaline. "Go away!" He yelled.
Though it was only around two feet at the shoulders, it stood
tall with its two front dog-like legs close together, its back
legs spread farther apart. It didn't move for him though, and
only tilted its head oddly. Expressively, what looked to almost
be a grin was etched on the corner of its long mouth and
radiated bemusement. The creature made a weird gurgling noise,
which made Jin more wary than ever wet while feeling as his
wet and heavy shirt plastered itself uncomfortably against his
skin.
Whatever the creature was, it turned on its slender legs to
bring out something that had been concealed in the tall weeds
underneath the overhanging heart shaped leaves. A warm breeze
whipped her fur to the east, and placed in between its teeth was
a silver carp and its complaced red eyes bore into his. Saaaa!
It yawped in a matter-of-fact way, which as you can imagine was
extremely bizarre to hear coming from an animal, but for some
inexplicable reason it made his mistrust of the creature drift
to the depths of his consciousness. It was then that Jin
realized that this intelligent, wayward creature was actually
one of China's most revered beast; a dragon.

Nice addition! At first, I though Jin was in South America, but
now I realize its China!

Thanks! Yeah, when writing this I almost specified that
they were in China at the first sentence, then changed
it.
