Yes, I've noticed that too. [img

/>However, they do have a quick answer to that somewhat
incongruous position. You see, these "brilliant luminaries"
showing us the way to the culling "solution" do not want to
deprive the human family of those "benevolent genius skills"
that they unselfishly use for the good of all humanity. If these
favored fellows were first in line for the culling, we would
lose all their "wisdom and benevolent guidance". These
"benevolent geniuses" need to be there to guide us to good
things (for the "benevolent genius" humans like them, of
course).

Below, please observe, SEVERAL images that I have prepared over
the years, that no longer display because they have been hacked
so the link to Create-a-forum's website and server no longer
functions [img

The list is not complete, but, as you can see by the image
descriptions (the only thing now showing), these images are all,
directly or indirectly, severely critical of the
🦕🦖 Fossil Fuel 🐍 Fascists, who fund all
efforts to keep the truth about how Greenhouse Gases CAUSE
Catastrophic Climate Change from reaching we-the-people.
Considering how small
HTML http://renewablerevolution.createaforum.com/gallery/renewablerevolution/1/3-120818185036-1638694.gif<br
/>this forum is, one would wonder why they bother. I believe tha
t
it isn't personal, just 🦖😈 business. The
Hydrocarbon Hellspawn know their business model is endangered by
the truth that they owe we-the-people BIG TIME for pillaging the
environment. [img
width=30]
HTML http://renewablerevolution.createaforum.com/gallery/renewablerevolution/2/3-231218145827.png[/img]<br
/>They don't want to be held responsible for their 24/7 Mens Rea
Actus Reus Modus Operandi.
They know a picture really is worth (at least) a "thousand
words". They are skilled at propaganda techniques, having used
images for at least half a century to BULLSHIT people into
believing that hydrocarbons are the "best thing since toasted
bread, we will all die without hydrocarbons and we must bow and
scrape to our loyal servants from Big Oil", while simultaneously
dismissing Climate Change as "baloney".
[img
width=640]
HTML http://www.createaforum.com/gallery/renewablerevolution/3-280714152422.png[/img]
So, they pay people hither and yon to continuously scan the
internet for images that tell the Global Warming Causes and
Consequences TRUTH. Once they identify them, they target them
for hacking. The images below, that you cannot see, have been
published on this forum, and others, including Disqus, over the
last 5 years or so. I have copies of most of them in permanent,
secured offline storage. However, the harm is done because all
the posts where they appeared over the years now lack the images
that accented them. 👎 :(
The Hydrocarbon Hellspawn will eventually lose this fight to
prevent paying for their responsibility for trashing the
biosphere. BUT, it is quite possible that their Predatory Delay
(one of the images I had to duplicate several times because they
keep hacking it) may doom us to extinction.
It is sad what greed can do to people. [img

Brazil’s 🦖 Bolsonaro: ‘Exterminator of the
Future’ 😨
May 14, 2019
Eight former Brazilian Ministers of Environment issued a warning
last week that the government of right-wing President Jair
Bolsonaro is in the process of systematically destroying
Brazil's environmental protection policies. They say the
environmental ministry's powers are being stripped, and that
deforestation of the Amazon is on the rise again. Marina Silva,
who was the environmental minister under President Lula da
Silva, called Bolsonaro an “exterminator of the future.”
After four months in office, Bolsonaro's environmental record
has been devastating, Alexander Zaitchik told The Real News
Network's Greg Wilpert.

HTML https://youtu.be/dlfGMgINtgw
“[There is a] massive wave of illegal incursions throughout the
Amazon on two formerly protected lands by loggers, miners,
agribusiness interests who are emboldened by the rhetoric coming
out of the government, where they just feel like the laws won't
be enforced,” Zaitchik said. “The agencies that have been
empowered to protect what's what's left of the Brazilian
Amazon—and again, we've already lost a fifth of it—are being
held back. They're being defunded. They're being reshuffled, put
under hostile ministers.”
Zaitchik detailed some of the effects on environmental agencies
and infrastructure under Bolsonaro. Ibama, Brazil's
Environmental Protection Agency, has lost nearly a quarter of
its funds. The conservation agency ICMBO is being staffed by
right-wing police officers, and all of its scientists have been
fired. The Indian agency FUNAI, which assists Brazil's
Indigenous groups, has had 90 percent of its funding withheld.
Zaitchik added that what is happening in Brazil is similar to
the U.S. under Trump, “where the scientific community is sort of
seen as a hostile force.”
The role that the international community plays in terms of
influencing Bolsonaro environmental policies will become
increasingly important, just as it was in the '90s when Brazil's
military dictatorships ramped up deforestation.
“A lot of the Indigenous leaders are going abroad, trying to
raise the alarm about what's happening, and you know, they're
meeting with government officials. And the governments of Asia
and Europe and North America are going to be crucial in making
sure that another 20 percent of the forest is not destroyed by
the policies that Bolsonaro is putting in place right now,”
Zaitchik said. “Scientists tell us that another 20 percent risks
triggering this feedback loop called 'dieback' in which the
forest will simply collapse, and its systems will no longer be
able to sustain themselves.”

I am no longer sure that after the Civil War there were two
sides to American politics, when the Madisonians got folded,
spindled and corporate power mutiliated by the Hamiltonian
Robber Barons.
I now believe that, towards the end of the 19th century, the 50
originial "investors" in Brown Brothers Harriman (Rockefeller
was one of them) became the hidden U.S. OILIGARCHY. These
heinous oligarchs spawned a couple of generations of equally
despicable oligarchs. By controlling the "both sides" political
food fight, these slaves of avarice and/or ambition have run
this freak show ever since.
You know, people say that Maximilien Robespierre said there are
no innocents. That is not accurate. He said that, ONLY those who
were innocent deserved mercy. That is no excuse for terrorism,
of course, but I think his logic is sound.
But as the essence of the republic or of democracy is
equality, it follows that the love of country necessarily
includes the love of equality.
It is also true that this sublime sentiment assumes a preference
for the public interest over every particular interest; hence
the love of country presupposes or produces all the virtues: for
what are they other than that spiritual strength which renders
one capable of those sacrifices? And how could the slave of
avarice or ambition, for example, sacrifice his idol to his
country?
Not only is virtue the soul of democracy; it can exist only in
that government. ...
SNIPPET 2:

the weak, mercy for the unfortunate, mercy for humanity.

The modern Robber Barron Oligarchs now have something their 19th
Robber Baron ancestors did not: robots. Human (cheap/slave)
labor was needed a century ago to ruthlessly create and preserve
Robber Barron Dynasties. Human labor is still somewhat cheaper
than robots, but that is rapidly changing. Robots now build
robots that can repair robots. Are you getting the picture?
I am. These Oligarchs do not want to lower their carbon
footprint to keep climate change from wiping humanity out. So,
they figure allowing climate change to wipe out 95% of humanity
while they "ride it out" is "worth it". In fact, they see a
large reduction in the human population as a huge positive
factor because they believe it will help the biosphere recover
from damage caused by a large human population.
They are wrong, but what do I know?
"Hydrocarbon Hellspawn" is a perfectly apt epithet, BTW.
None of this should surprise anyone scoring at home. Ever since
the National Security State got eh USA PATRIOT Act on the books,
language can be stretched to redefine "terrorism" to be whatever
the USMIC wants it to be. Very convenient.
As to the democrats, the Ds have turned their back on their base
(as a party of the people) and the people have returned the
favor. Don't know how many replays of 2016 we need to get the
point that when turnout is large, Ds win. The DNC is giving
large numbers of people plenty of reason to stay home.

That's about the size of it. In view of the following overview
of present global shipping activity, it is rather difficult to
see the stranglehold that the OIL-igarchy has on the world being
overcome any time soon:

Canada Declares Climate Emergency, Then Approves Massive Oil
Pipeline Expansion

Canada can’t meet its Paris climate targets without reducing
emissions from the oil and gas sector, experts say.

week announcing something nice for the environment. Image via
The Canadian Press</p> <div
data-type="body-text"> <p>Only one day after declaring a
climate emergency, Canada has approved the expansion of a
massive pipeline that will increase oil production in Alberta
and release more greenhouse gases into the
atmosphere.</p> <p>On Monday night, Canada’s
parliament passed <a
href="
HTML https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/mb8p9y/declaring-a-climate-emergency-is-meaningless-without-strong-policy"<br
/>target="_blank" rel="noopener">a motion</a> brought forward by
Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna
calling climate change a “real and urgent crisis, driven
by human activity,” and requiring the government to make
deep emissions reductions to meet its Paris
commitments.</p> <p>On Tuesday, in a move condemned by
environmentalists, Justin Trudeau’s cabinet approved the
Trans Mountain pipeline expansion (TMX).</p> <p>Trudeau said
he was elected on a plan to grow the middle class and fight
climate change, two goals he said were not at odds. “We
need to create wealth today so we can invest in the
future,” he said.</p> <p>“This project has the
potential to create thousands of solid middle class jobs for
Canadians,” he said.</p> <p>Trudeau made a commitment
that every dollar earned from the expansion project will be
invested in Canada’s transition to green energy. A senior
official said that amounts to about $500 million per year once
oil starts flowing through the pipeline.</p> <p>The project
will proceed subject to 156 binding conditions from the
regulator, the National Energy Board.</p> <p>All 129 First
Nations along the pipeline route will receive invitations later
this week to join a government engagement process toward their
“economic participation” in the project, a senior
official said.</p> <p>In response, First Nations leaders in
B.C. reiterated their opposition to the project. Tsleil Waututh
community member Will George said in a statement, "No matter who
approves it, this pipeline will not be built." Pipeline
opponents promised to "occupy the highway" this
Saturday.</p> <p>Construction will start in 2019, but an
exact timeline will depend on permits, according to a senior
official.</p> <p>“The timing is ironic for
sure,” said Cat Abreu, executive director of Climate
Action Network. “We’re continuing to have a
conversation about addressing climate change in Canada while
skirting around the elephant in the room, which is emissions
from oil and gas.”</p> <p>It’s not yet possible
to say whether Canada will or won’t meet our Paris
commitments, but the government’s own numbers show that
we’re 79 megatons of greenhouse gases away from our 2030
emissions reductions targets. It’s a “significant
gap,” Abreu said. “And that gap is, according to the
modeling, in large part thanks to emissions from the oil and gas
sector.” She said Canada will have a hard time meeting its
Paris targets “without seriously addressing emissions from
the oil and gas sector.”</p> <p>Cabinet’s
approval of the expansion will mean new jobs in pipeline
construction, plus heated protests along the route in B.C., and
a flurry of fresh legal challenges against the government. It
will also allow Trudeau to enter the fall election saying he
found a way to export Alberta oil from the west coast, where it
can potentially fetch a higher price. The project would increase
the capacity of the existing Trans Mountain pipeline from
300,000 barrels of bitumen per day to
890,000.</p> <p>It’s the second time Trudeau has
approved the expansion.</p> <p>He first gave it the green
light in November 2016, but last August a Federal Court of
Appeal decision <a
href="
HTML https://news.vice.com/en_ca/article/qvmywb/court-quashes-approval-of-trans-mountain-expansion"<br
/>target="_blank" rel="noopener">quashed that approval</a>, ruli
ng
that the government failed to properly consult First Nations
along the pipeline route, and the National Energy Board, the
regulator, made a “critical error” in excluding
marine tanker traffic from its review. In response, the
government launched new consultations with First Nations, and
the NEB <a
href="
HTML https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/mbzpkq/national-energy-board-recommends-trans-mountain-expansion-again"<br
/>target="_blank" rel="noopener">released a report</a> finding
that marine traffic would have “significant”
negative effects on killer whales, but concluded it should go
ahead anyway.</p> <p>According to a Crown consultation
report released Tuesday, the government has promised to
accommodate First Nations by enhancing spill prevention,
ensuring quieter vessels, and monitoring cumulative effects,
among other measures. The report concludes the government met
its duty to consult, as set out by the Federal Court of Appeal.
In a letter released Tuesday, former Supreme Court justice Frank
Iacobucci, who oversaw the consultations, said they had
reinforced his hope for “fair and equitable
reconciliation.”</p> <div> <div
data-google-query-id="CPbIiMq99eICFUHpZAodYp0ECg"></div> </d
iv> <p>Pipeline
worker Tyler Moss said pipeline construction business is already
“busy busy” and he’s turning down jobs. Even
without the expansion, there are new liquefied natural gas
projects to build in northern B.C. But he said he wants the
expansion to go forward for the “overall health” of
the oil and gas sector.</p> <p>“TMX is still a huge
project and if it does [get approved] I’d be happy
to work in the mountains for one of the bigger
outfits.”</p> <p>As for the looming climate crisis,
Moss said the shift toward green energy can’t happen
overnight. “If our country has money from our resources,
we’ve got better options for investing in green
energy.”</p> <p>“That’s like saying we
need to keep selling cigarettes to have money to fight
cancer,” said Eugene Kung, lawyer with West Coast
Environmental Law, and lead on the First Nations case against
the pipeline.</p> <p>Kung said he and other lawyers plan to
review cabinet’s rationale, looking for opportunities to
challenge it in court. New legal challenges may not stop the
pipeline completely, but they could delay it enough that it
becomes financially difficult to justify building, he
said.</p> <p>“It could be a stranded asset long before
it’s paid off,” Kung said, pointing to a <a
href="
HTML https://www.bankofcanada.ca/2019/05/financial-system-review-2019/#Vulnerability-5-Climate-change"<br
/>target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent Bank of Canada review</a
>
that identified climate change as a vulnerability to our
financial system, posing both physical risks from extreme
weather events and transition risks from adapting to a
lower-carbon global economy.</p> <p>The question of whether
there’s actually a business case for the expansion has
hung over the project since Canada officially bought it last
August for $4.5 billion. On June 11, a former Liberal environment
minister sent letters to six members of Trudeau’s cabinet
saying the expansion has no business case. “There is no
credible evidence to suggest that Asia is likely to be a
reliable or a significant market for Alberta bitumen,”
David Anderson wrote, according to the <a
href="
HTML https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/former-environment-minister-no-case-tmx-1.5177162"<br
/>target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canadian
Press</a>.</p> <p>“I don’t think of it as a
business case,” said Trevor Tombe, associate economics
professor at the University of Calgary. “Pipelines, once
they’re constructed, are really boring assets.”
They’re like a utility, with a regulated rate of return
from one year to the next, he said.</p> <p>“The
question is only whether they will be utilized at sufficient
capacity to recoup the construction cost,” he said.
“In this case, the projections for Alberta oil are such
that there’s little doubt that the oil will be shipped if
the pipeline is built, so in that sense, there will be a return
on the dollars invested in the pipe.”</p> <p>On the
other hand, the case for public ownership is weak, he said. The
government only bought the pipeline under enormous pressure from
the previous owner, Kinder Morgan, which had threatened to pull
out in the face of court challenges and regulatory
hurdles.</p> <p>Trudeau has been clear that the government
plans to sell the pipeline. Tombe said it’ll be easy to
sell it once it’s built, but it’s not clear if it
will fetch a high enough price to recoup various costs including
construction. “Time will tell,” he
said.</p> <p>Meanwhile, along the pipeline route in B.C.,
some First Nations groups are preparing to fight construction on
the ground.</p> <p>Kanahus Manuel of the Secwepemc
Women’s Warrior Society sent a video showing four tiny
houses parked along a highway near the site of a proposed
“man camp,” where workers building the pipeline will
live. She contends the pipeline infringes on her First
Nation’s rights, and believes man camps pose a threat to
Indigenous women. Her group blocked the road to the proposed man
camp in anticipation of the pipeline’s
approval.</p> <p>“Yes, we’re here blockading,
and TMX will never get built,” she said.</p> <p>She
said she was about to give her sister a stick-and-poke warrior
tattoo “to get ready for
battle.”</p> </div>
