"Jugaad", or frugal innovation, is the practice of creating
technology to meet human needs using the smallest amount of
resources as possible. This method has sparked out of necessity
in many countries of the global South, as the wealth of money,
power, industry and developed resources just simply isn't as
present in many of these regions. But could this process of
frugal innovation be paving the way to a sustainable future? -
