Editing and Deleting Posts

The policy about editing and deleting posts has changed. You
will have only 15 minutes to edit posts; and if a post has been
edited, others can see who did it and when. You can no longer
delete posts.

Oh Boo! It is not until I read my post back hours later that I
see my misspelt words or a sentence which doesn't make
sense....or my husband tells me. ( but I guess by the time I
notice it , it has already been read by many people..and I am
left naked! LOL )

You and me both sis, but it will teach us humility, or on the
other hand to get a good spell check on our browser.
Can't think what you can do about the sentence that reads
stupid, you could hope that those reading think it is such
profound truth that they have missed the point.
If you have spell check, the spelling shouldn't be a
problem. About making sense? Who knows -- it may have made
more sense the first time.
I'll have to be more careful myself. I'm used to hitting the
"post" button and then seeing my mistakes. Then I hit the
"edit" button to fix things. If I do that now, people can see I
edited it. I think I'll use the "preview" button more.
Speaking of spelling, I was considering giving someone the
title of Grammar Police with the ability to edit posts. His or
her job would be to edit people's posts and fix spelling,
punctuation and grammar. ;D [quote author=James

;)
I'm hoping it encourages us all to ask, "Do I really
want to post this" before hitting that "post" button.
Do you have a spell check now? Some browsers come with them.
With some browsers, you have to install them. If people doesn't
have spell check, my guess is they're using Explorer. They can
download it for free easily at speckie.com

I have seldom made corrections or deletions after that much
time. Usually if I decide against posting something, I do so
before hitting the post button. This has not always been the
case, but experience does teach us some things. Editing is
something else altogether. On that one we'll just have to grin
and bear it.
