THE Precious Blood

1 Pet 1:19 "But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot"
A. Peter tells us that the Blood of Jesus is precious. He means
that it is something that is of great price and is to be held in
great esteem.
Why so special!?
It is the price of redemption 1 Pet. 1:19
It is the proof of God's love for us Rom.. 5:8
It is the only substance known that can cleanse away our sins
Rev. 1:5; 1 John 1:7.
It is pure blood that was shed by an innocent man. His blood and
His death were accepted in place of our own by the Father in
Heaven.
As the blood of Jesus is so precious, it should be cherished by
every believer.
We make much of the cross in our songs and church. The
cross/death without the blood doesn't save anyone!
It was what happened on the cross that makes the difference. It
was when the Lamb of God poured out His life in blood that sin
was forever atoned for, and redemption completed...as I see it.
It speaks of the power of the blood. (Revelation 12:11 And they
overcame him by the blood of the Lamb
There are some that would take the Blood out of the songs, even
out of the bible if they could and some have done so. There are
those who preach a dry cleaned plan of salvation that make no
references to the blood of Jesus at all.
Praise God for the blood.

Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the
houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over
you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I
smite the land of Egypt.
Jesus said with desire I desire to keep this passover. He was
fervent about the pass over, fervent about forever making a
provision that would keep man free of the plague of sin and
death.
The covenant was made between God and man by our/his
representative but had it not been signed in blood it would have
meant nothing.
"Oh the blood of Jesus that washes white as snow"
