1 Peter 2:13-14
KJV 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the
Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto
governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment
of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
WEB 13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man
for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme; 14 or to
governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for
praise to those who do well.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
13 We should obey God first always but then the leaders He
allows to be in charge, we should pray for bad leaders that
don’t seek or know God but we should still obey them with the
Lord leading us of course, we are not meant to sin because of
wicked leaders and God doesn’t want us to and this verse is not
saying we should be.
14 We should give credit to our leaders for the good things they
do and give them positive encouragement, help them do right
rather then hurt them, if we have these chances.
