Micah 3:11-12

Micah 3:11-12
KJV 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests
thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for
money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the
LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. 12 Therefore shall
Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall
become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places
of the forest.
WEB 11 Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a
price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they
lean on Yahweh, and say, “Isn’t Yahweh among us? No disaster
will come on us.” 12 Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed
like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the
mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
11 That thought they were safe because they were His people but
there was deep corruption, the priesthood had corrupt which
meant people went thru corrupt means to talk to God and false
words were being spread as though they were from God and
decisions were being made not by justice but by bribes, this was
something God was going to judge and do away with, we need to
make sure we are not living this way.
12 Israel was going to be removed and restarted, God was going
to wipe the place clean because they weren’t seeking Him to be
clean.
