       1 Peter 2:1-2
       KJV 1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and
       hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes,
       desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
       JuliaSmith 1 Therefore setting aside all wickedness, and all
       artifice, and dissimulation; and envies, and all calumnies, 2 As
       new born babes, long for the sincere milk pertaining to the
       word, that ye might be nourished with it:
       These are my thoughts, please share yours.
       1 We should set aside all sinful behavior so that we can live
       for the Lord and live in His ways.
       2 We should long for the Lord hunger and thirst for His
       righteousness and hunger for His word more then we do for food.
       We should thirst more for the Lord then we do water and by our
       cling to Him we over come with Him leading us these wickednesses
       of the flesh.
