1 Peter 1:1-2
KJV 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers
scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and
Bithynia, 2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the
Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and
sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and
peace, be multiplied.
WEB 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who
are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia,
Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may
obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you
and peace be multiplied.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 Peter like Paul went where the Lord wanted Him to do as we
should do the same. The chosen is the believers; we who are in
Christ are the chosen. We may not be called in the way Peter was
but we all as Christians have a call and should be devoted to it
like Peter was to his call.
2 God has a foreknowledge of everything because He knows all. We
are sanctified and made to a more perfect living thru the grace
of the cross of Jesus but thru the Spirit working thru us. We
have grace thru Jesus and peace thru the Spirit. We are to share
the gospel with others and the Spirit will build the church if
we simply do what He leads us to do.
