Jonah 1:10-11 King James Version (KJV)
10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why
hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the
presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the
sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was
       tempestuous.
Jonah 1:10-11 New Life Version (NLV)
10 Then the men were filled with fear and said to him, “How
could you do this?” For the men knew that he was running away
from the Lord, because he had told them. 11 So they said to him,
“What should we do to you to make the sea quiet down for us?”
For the storm was getting worse.

       These are my thoughts.
       \
10 Fear was because they were all going to die if nothing was
done because of Jonah. They were also upset with Jonah. The
testimony Jonah had on this boat was that he was running from
God rather then serving Him, we should never let our testimony
be this because it keeps from coming to the faith.
11 They knew they needed to do something otherwise they would
die, they look to Jonah because its his fault and he was the one
to go before God because they served other gods.
